"That is awful."

Glenn looked at Lily with an expression of hurt and disbelief. "Are you kidding me? This is amazing. How could you not like it?" he said, holding up his drawing for Sutton to see. "You like it, right?"

Sutton squinted at the paper, tilting her head as if the new angle would clarify things. "What is it?" she asked, her voice laced with curiosity.

"It's me!" Glenn declared, his voice bright with enthusiasm as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

Lily frowned, looking skeptically at the crude, colorful scribbles. "How were we supposed to know that's you?" she scoffed, clearly unimpressed.

"Look at the hair," Glenn said, pointing at a particularly wild and exaggerated tuft of crayon scribbles on the paper.

The group had been on the road for days, heading towards Fort Benning with their dwindling supplies and a dwindling number of vehicles. They now traveled with just the RV, a station wagon, and Daryl's bike. Without the pickup truck, Lily and Sutton had hitched a ride on the RV. They had found a pack of crayons in an abandoned car the day before while refueling.

"Oh no," Dale muttered as they came upon a cluster of abandoned cars and an overturned semi-truck, obstructing a large portion of the road. Lily peered out the windshield, seeing Daryl circling back.

"See a way through?" Dale called out through the window.

Daryl nodded, signaling for Dale to follow as he reversed. Glenn nervously glanced at the map spread out beside him, worried that they might become trapped amidst the wreckage.

"Uh, maybe we should go back. There's an interstate bypass—" Glenn suggested.

"We can't afford the fuel," Dale replied, shaking his head. "The only option is forward." As they maneuvered through the obstruction, they saw the aftermath of a massive walker herd—crashed cars and overturned vehicles suggesting a desperate escape from the chaos.

Lily's heart sank as she saw bodies slumped in the vehicles. "Oh my god," she murmured, instinctively wrapping her arm around Sutton's shoulders. The remains of those who had perished trying to escape the horrors of the world outside haunted her.

"Are you sure we can make it through this?" Shane asked, his concern evident. The engine of the RV started sputtering and white smoke billowed from the front. Dale cursed loudly as the RV shuddered to a halt.

"I told you. I said it!" Dale lamented, exasperated. "Dead in the water, again."

"Problem, Dale?" Shane inquired, hoping it was something that could be swiftly repaired.

"It's just a small matter of being stuck in the middle of nowhere with no hope of—" Dale started, but trailed off as he watched Daryl begin to sift through the empty cars, searching for anything useful. "Okay, that was dumb."
