Lily was in the middle of a nap when she woke to the sound of someone banging on the wall of her room. Her eyes snapped open to see Daryl standing there, crossbow in hand, with a frantic look on his face.

"Sorry. You seen Merle?" he asked, his voice edged with urgency.

"No," she said, rubbing her eyes and pushing herself up. "Last I saw him he was ripping up mattresses looking for meth. Why?"

"Rick called it off, but he and Michonne are missin'," Daryl explained, already heading out the door.

Lily quickly scrambled out of bed, pulling on her boots and grabbing her gun. "He took her? Where, to the Governor?" she asked, following him down the corridor.

"Probably," Daryl responded, his pace quickening as he headed towards the exit.

"Okay, so where the hell are you going?" she demanded, struggling to keep up with his long strides.

"I'm going after him. Bring 'em back," he said, not slowing down.

"I'm going with you," she declared, matching his pace.

"No-"

"I'm not asking! What are you gonna do if you find him and he's not alone? Or in trouble? Daryl, you're not going alone!" she insisted, her tone brooking no argument.

Daryl gave a reluctant nod, recognizing the determination in her eyes. "Fine. But hurry up," he said, giving her only a few minutes to grab her gear before they headed out.

"How do you know he's not covering his tracks?" Lily asked, glancing around as they moved through the dense forest, her eyes scanning for any sign of danger.

"Merle's not a tracker. Don't know how to cover his tracks," Daryl replied, his eyes fixed on the faint trail ahead. "That's why he always got in trouble."

"As opposed to you who's always staying out of trouble," she said, raising an eyebrow. Daryl turned and shot her a scowl, but before he could retort, he came to a sudden stop.

"What is-" she began, but Daryl shushed her, holding up a hand for silence. He gestured for her to follow him quietly as they approached a clearing.

Emerging from the tree line, they saw Michonne in the distance, taking down a walker with precision.

"Hey!" Daryl shouted, breaking into a run. "Where's my brother?"

"We also want to know if you're okay?" Lily added, rolling her eyes at Daryl's bluntness.

Michonne turned to face them, her expression grim. "He let me go," she said, her voice steady despite the tension.

"You kill him?" Daryl asked, his tone sharp.
