"We'll lose the light before too long. I think we should call it," Daryl said, his voice tinged with exhaustion as he surveyed the darkening woods. The group had been searching tirelessly, but there was still no sign of Sophia.

"Let's head back," Lori agreed, her anxiety evident as she glanced toward the direction of the RV. She was eager to find out if Rick and Carl were waiting there.

"Can we pick it up again tomorrow?" Carol asked, her voice filled with hope.

"Of course we will. And we will find her tomorrow," Lily assured her, though her own exhaustion was apparent. They began trudging back toward the highway, their footsteps heavy with fatigue.

"How much farther?" Lori asked, her voice carrying a note of desperation.

"Not much. Maybe a hundred yards...as the crow flies," Daryl replied, pointing vaguely in the direction they had come from.

"Too bad we're not crows," Andrea mumbled, her sarcasm masking her frustration.

"My feet hurt," Sutton piped up, her small voice tinged with discomfort. Lily let out a soft laugh and looked down at her daughter.

"Yeah? Guess we gotta get you some better shoes," Lily said, kneeling in front of her. "Come on."

"Really?" Sutton asked, laughter in her voice as she climbed onto Lily's back. Lily groaned under the sudden weight but straightened up, her own feet aching in her worn shoes.

"God, I haven't done this since you were five," Lily said, managing a smile as she resumed walking with Sutton piggybacked.

"It still freaks me out how much you two look alike," Glenn commented, looking at the pair.

"Yeah, well, I did do like 99% of the work, so she better look just like me," Lily joked, her tone light but weary. The group continued walking, their conversation a small distraction from their exhaustion.

Suddenly, a piercing scream cut through the night, and the group froze. "Andrea!" Lori called out, her voice laced with panic. They exchanged worried glances before sprinting in the direction of the scream.

"Andrea!" they shouted, their voices mingling with the sounds of the forest. When they reached her, they found her struggling on the ground with a walker clawing at her, its gnarled teeth just inches from her face. Daryl quickly raised his crossbow, ready to fire, but before he could shoot, a loud thumping sound of hooves approached.

A woman on horseback burst into view, wielding a baseball bat with fierce determination. With a single, powerful swing, she decapitated the walker, saving Andrea in the nick of time. The group stared in astonishment as the woman dismounted and hurried over to them.

"Lori? Lori Grimes?" the woman asked urgently, her eyes scanning the group.

"I'm Lori," Lori replied, still trying to process the situation as she approached the stranger.
