The death of me was so quiet

No friends and family allowed

Only my murderer, you, and the priest

Who told you to go to Hell

And the funny thing is I would've married you

If you'd have stuck around

Doomsday

Juliette POV

"I'm pregnant"

There, I said it.

The words I had been terrified to write and even more terrified to utter out loud.

Sebastian stood before me in a sort of trance, still an absolute mess from our extracurricular activities on his desk. The only movement was that of his eyes darting between my face and midsection.

I instinctively brought a hand to my already-swollen belly. I had been trying to come to terms with it for weeks. Despite my growing belly and breasts leaving no doubts, I had been strongly in denial.

It was only once I told him that it finally felt real. I could have thrown up, thought I was not sure if it was my anxiety or the baby that was making me feel that way.

Suddenly, Sebastian fell to his knees, eyes full of a mixture of awe and reverence.

"May I?" he asked with a trembling hand outstretched toward my stomach.

I smiled and nodded, yearning for him to finally hold his baby.

Our baby.

Though we had just been all over each other moments prior, a new sort of electricity sparked between us the moment he touched my belly. It was like he was touching me for the first time and, in a way, he was. Since I found out I was pregnant, I had hardly recognized myself. The blonde hair did not help matters.

"I thought I couldn't possibly love you any more than I already do," Sebastian said through a lopsided grin. "But now you're carrying my child..." his voice trailed off as realization dawned on his features. "I didn't hurt you when we—"

I giggled and rolled my eyes. Of course, that was where his mind was. He was going to be a father, but he was still my Sebastian.

"No, mon amour. The nurse said we should be able to continue business as usual."

"That's a relief," he sighed as he snaked his arms around my waist. I ran my fingers through his tousled brown hair while he pressed an ear to my belly.

"You can talk to him, if you'd like." I offered.

"Him?" he drew his head back and looked up at me with eager, glistening eyes.

"I can't say for certain, but something tells me there's a little Sebastian in there waiting to cause me all sorts of grief," I said, trailing fingers across the belly that felt like it was growing by the minute.

"Now now, Sebastian Junior," he tsked and tapped my stomach with a stern finger.
"I'll not be having you antagonizing your mother."

Before I could fully register Sebastian calling me a 'mother' there was a knock at the door.
