Show Part Three
"Yes! Good job Ahrix!" K-391 fist pumped. "Sorry again about pushing you, It was the only thing I could think of to get you on the stage."
"That's ok, I needed that." Ahrix replies.
"Yeah, good thinking K." Alan Walker was now free to talk. "Well, this is it. K, you got the projection queued up?" K-391's friends called him 'K' for short. "That's a ten meter drop, and I've crashed to the ground enough times this week already."
"Yeah, sorry," Ahrix said sheepishly. There had been an incident earlier that week where Ahrix had tripped and knocked Alan off a catwalk beam.
"It's okay, I've been thrown around like a pinball since I was eighteen." Alan Walker shrugs.
"Yeah, I've got my part under control. Do you?" K-391 asked, turning to face Alan Walker. "Can't have yours cut out early again."
"That only happened twice!" Alan Walker defends.
"Ah, yes. How many times did we rehearse again?" K-391 retorts. You could tell he was grinning even though his face was covered. "Three times... four?"
"Shut up." Alan Walker retorts, as the three artists enter the stage. The orb had stabilized, but the 'cliff' was gone. The three artists stood facing it. Alan Walker, who was in the middle, approached the orb. As he did, his drones, which had been circling the stage for the entire performance, came together and made a hard-light projection staircase. Alan Walker held out a 'extraction device' which pulled orange energy from the orb.
I'll cross my heart
And hope to die
We're always and forever, I'll be by your side
When days are dark
And stars don't line
We're always and forever 'til the end, the end of timeThe orb grew more and more chaotic the closer Alan Walker got. As the final lyric was sung, "end of time", he pushed the surface of the orb with the tip of his fingers...
A lot of things happened at once. The 'extraction device' had finished sucking up the orb, so the orb imploded. Then (planned) Alan Walker's drone's cut out. The staircase disappeared. Right before he fell, Alan Walker threw the now charged extraction device to K-391. K-391 caught Alan Walker in a flurry of orange light right before he hit the ground.
At the end of the song, they strike a final pose and the lights go out. They wait a couple seconds, and then scamper backstage.
"Alright," K-391 says, then refers to his outfit.. "Now get me out of this C flat."
