The kids sat shocked in silence, staring at the stranger. They were all paying attention now. They waited with bated breath for him to continue. "K-391 thought that would be the last time he saw Alan." The stranger continued after a while. "Unfortunately, that was not the case. But before I tell you what happened then, I need to tell you what happened next."K-391 slammed against the closed ramp. "No!" The others were as shocked as he was. TFR recovered first. He frantically started messing with the controls.
"It's no use, it's locked!" TFR says in a panic. He draws his sword and attempts to slice through the main control panel.
"Wait! Stop!" K-391 says frantically.
Have you ever been to a performance of The Nutcracker? You know, with the giant rats, and the rat king who battles the nutcracker and makes all the kids in the front row cry? That's a good way to describe TFR during those couple minutes.
"Why? Alan's ditched us. He's probably been working for NCS the whole time. And I am not going to just stand here and let this ship take us to Shaa knows where!"
"But you said the fortress was already the worst place Alan could take us!" K-391 half-screamed, tears in his eyes.
"Well he CLEARLY has somewhere in mind! I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that. I was joking okay! Put two and two together! We can't stay on this ship! Alan's not coming back, he's betrayed us. That is probably hard for you to process but-" TFR started.
K-391 cut him off. "B-but-"
Ava Max cut him off. "K-391, wake up. He was never your friend, he probably arranged the kidnapping of your friend so he'd have an excuse to lure us here! It was a trap! He is-"
Aaaaand K-391 cut her off. "This isn't about me! I know Alan has..." K-391's voice quivered. "B-b-but this is about Ahrix! He's not immortal, if you crash this ship he'll... he'll die!"
"What?!" Ava Max exclaimed. Silence for a half second.
"Wha... He's not immortal?!?!" TFR exclaimed, outraged.
"I thought you knew! My whole breakdown about losing people!" K-391 cried.
"I thought you meant... The NCS symbol..." TFR says, shaking his head.
"No wonder K was in such a hurry to help him." Ava Max said.
TFR paused for a moment. "I'm sorry." He plunged his sword into the main console.#½ - Solitude (Fade in at some point)
The ship seemed to fall in slow motion. TFR and Laura jumped out the back of the ship, Ava Max had clearly no idea what to do and no time to properly react. But all K-391 could think about was getting to Ahrix. Functioning while literally in a crashing ship is no small feat, but K-391 had been friends with Alan. He had experience with being in free-fall. As K-391 got to Ahrix he wrapped himself around him, using his immortality as a shield. Only Ahrix noticed that while they fell together, K-391 was crying his heart out.
