"No! NO! Alan!" K-391 screamed. He rushed to his side, but it was too late. The poison had been activated, Alan's fate was sealed.
"Why? Why did you do this??" K-391 asked, tears streaming down.
Alan was also crying. (It was a slow process, Alan was dying, but not dead yet.) He took a golden pendant necklace out of his front pocket and pressed it into K-391's hand.
"Because... I do care about you, K. Always and forever until the end of time."
Alan's body shook, his eyes closed, and his body went limp.
The entire world fell silent in shock. This silence was auditory and emotional. Everyone watched in shocked silence as Alan's body disintegrated into dust and blew away in the wind. The next thing that happened was the noice K-391 made next. There is no way to describe that noise. You could say it was a scream, or a yell. It impacted everyone present, but I can't say for sure how loud it actually was. It resonated throughout the area, the city, the world, the universe. When he did, the whole world was screaming with him, an anomaly of sound and vibration and existence. It may have lasted two seconds or an hour. It may never have truly stopped. But when (or if) it did, K-391 collapsed, head in his hands, silently weeping, mourning the loss of a friend.
