"So another artist thought it would be fun to dive into The Frozen Sea?" TFR asked. "I really need to start roping that area off. Or, you know, put up a sign that says "Warning- freezing cold water will knock you unconscious in under a minute!""
Alan Walker awoke to a burst of hot air in his face.
"Oh good, you're awake," K-391 said, holding a hair dryer. "Your hair was starting to smoke."
Alan Walker stared at K-391. After several seconds of uncomfortable silence, K-391 handed him a bundle of clothing.
"We tried to dry out the stuff in your backpack as much as possible. I hope your Walkerbots were waterproofed," K-391 stated.
"Of course my drones were waterproofed, along with everything else in there, I'm not insane," Alan Walker snapped, grabbing the clothes from K-391. "And for the last time, they're not called Walkerbots!"
"What are they called then!?" K-391 said exasperatedly.
Alan Walker got to his feet. "AV-8, or AVI-8, depending on the model!"
"Yeah. I'm just gonna keep calling them Walkerbots." K-391 states, unplugging the hair dryer, smirking.
As Alan Walker starts to walk away, K-391 asks, "You gonna thank me for pulling you out of the lake?"
Alan Walker looks at him, and his expression softens. "It was a test."
"What?" K-391 asks.
"Falling into the lake," Alan Walker continues. "To see if you'd come after me."
"Wha..." K-391 repeated with an incredulous snort. "You thought I'd just let you drown?"
"No." Alan Walker replies. "But I hoped."
K-391 stared at him.
"K, you have to listen. Where we're going... You have to promise that no matter what, you won't ever jump after me again." Alan Walker said sternly.
"What? I-," K-391 starts.
"Promise me you won't ever risk your life for me again."
"But- No!, I don't-"
"Promise me," Alan Walker said sternly.
"No!" K-391 said defiantly.
"God...," Alan Walker trailed off, running a hand through his hair. "You have got to be the most loyal, dedicated, caring, selfless person I have ever met. For better or worse."
Alan Walker left the room, and K-391 looked after him, bewildered. Then K-391 shrugged, and dug a piece of bubble gum out of his pocket.
