# - Kings And Queens

Ava Max spent the next few weeks training. TFR made her a sword with a silver handle. She loved it, but she couldn't even hold it and keep her balance. When she finally learned to hold it without falling over, she couldn't hit any of the targets or practice dummies. Somehow, she just kept trying, and failing, and trying, and failing.
Alan Walker also tried to teach her martial arts. She could not focus, she could not follow directions, and he ended up, more often than not, showing her the same move many, many times, over and over before she got it. When they tried sparring, she fell on her face without Alan Walker touching her once. It was a wonder his patience held out, as he was not known for having much of it.
Ava Max had also taken up a habit of whenever Alan Walker was working on his drones, she would chase them like a child frightening a flock of birds, just to annoy him.
TheFatRat attempted to work out a battle strategy for dealing with a Ghost Light that was causing problems. Ava Max watched over his shoulder, observing every detail.

Then, one day, when she attempted to chase one of Alan Walker's drones, it fought back and almost shot her. Alan Walker snickered nearby. Later, beaten from training, Ava Max trudged past K-391 and Alan Walker playing chess. She sat down to watch. She was intrigued immediately. Alan Walker attempted to make a move, but she corrected him with a better idea. He thought about it, then realized she was right. Soon Ava Max was playing chess herself, and winning every time.
She trained ferociously, and her accuracy improved. She kept at it and eventually was able to hit every target. She made strategic suggestions to TFR, and he realized she had a point. She tried her best to focus when Alan Walker was showing her something. And the next time she sent his drones scattering, she caught one, approaching from behind, and putting her sword through it. She did a happy dance, as Alan Walker observed with annoyance. "You're paying me for that!" The next time they sparred, Ava Max was able to stand her ground, or at least keep standing.
