Family

We announced my pregnancy and boom all my family is here in our house where they cheered a whisky in their glasses for a toast.

I received so many kinds of gifts as they gifted my babies in my belly.

I was in awe, amaze and surprised.

"Cheers to the first born of the fourth generation of the family." As Darius Huang II raised his glass and they all cheered in unison.

My grandpa came as my parents too. The house was full of laughter as they chatted with each other. A different scenario on our wedding day or maybe it was just me who felt so bad on that day because I felt I was forced.

Tell now I'm a bit scared of my grandpa while he handed his gift. He was my dad's carbon copy. I shyly uttered my thank you to him politely. I couldn't look at him in the eye.

He looked happy and yet the fear in me I couldn't stop.

William notices my stiffness as he kisses the side of my head. Telling me not to fear that he is with my side. The Soothing feelings as he embraces me with love.

"Layla layla.." Mother Fenna came close to me as she handed the gensing tea she made the same as the last time and I thank her.

I glace back to everyone where my family reunited as one. He looks at me with so much happiness in his eyes and he utters love you silently.

"From the bottom of my heart Grace, thank you." She said happily.

I couldn't say more because I know she's very thankful for everything that happens now.
I am very happy too.

"My son is perfectly happy and as a mother I couldn't ask for more." She uttered some old prayers after that.

She prays for an abundance of love, joy, peace, and good relationships in life. May always seek the kingdom and righteousness first and for being the source of all abundance in my life.

I nod and carry on quickly, "Amitoufo."

I still couldn't imagine the happiness of everyone. My heart is hammered with joy.

"There, Finish it," I accepted the cup as like before i swallowed them all in a row. The bitter taste wasn't that bad now as my tongue got used to it.

"Thanks mom, you're the best."
Her eyes turn small as she smiles at me. She's very beautiful and I hope that my children will get her genes, surely they are so beautiful like her.

"Never a problem my child." She whispered back at me.

I never expected this kind of treatment from her, I never thought of her accepting me quickly for the family morality and tradition.

Life is unpredictable as my tears fill down my eyes. My chest twisted as my heart felt the unknown pain.

The pain terrified me. I'm too happy that this might end soon.

I felt scared.

I felt happy.

I felt both.

Thank you Lord, for everything and the blessings you gave me. A small prayer lifted my soul as I say amen at the end.

I sat beside William as he kissed me as soon as I landed to his side.

"I want to see you smile like this more , baby." As I told him sweetly.
