The title doesn't exactly say what this is, because idek what to consider it, so, y'know, Grian snaps ig
TW! Yelling
-Joel's POV-
Joel found Grian at his base, clad in his fisherman outfit, lazily casting his line into the water.
Joel landed beside him, a frown already forming on his face.
"Grian, we need to talk about the permit office," Joel began, his tone edged with frustration. "It's never open! Every time I need something, it's closed. It's like you're never there."
Grian's grip on the fishing rod tightened, his usual cheerful demeanor noticeably absent. "Joel, not now," he muttered, eyes fixed on the water.
Joel either ignored the warning or didn't care enough. "Seriously, how are we supposed to get anything done if the permit office is always closed? Can't you set some hours or something? This is ridiculous!"
Suddenly, Grian snapped. "Permit office this, and permit office that! Can't I be left the fuck alone for a while?!" He yelled, his voice echoing across the water. Joel took a step back, shocked by the outburst. Grian was always so level-headed, especially when it came to his friends.
-Grian's POV-
Without another word, Joel activated his elytra and took to the skies, heading straight for Xisuma's base. Grian watched him go, his anger quickly morphing into regret. He put his fishing rod away and flew up to his house nestled in the side of the magic mountain. Once inside, he slumped onto the couch, running a hand through his hair. He couldn't believe he had lost his temper like that.
-Joel's POV-
Joel landed at Xisuma's base, still reeling from the encounter. He found Xisuma in his workshop and quickly explained what had happened. "Grian just... lost it. He started yelling about the permit office. It's not like him at all."
Xisuma frowned. "That doesn't sound like Grian. I'll go check on him."
-X's POV-
With a flap of his elytra, Xisuma was airborne, heading towards Grian's base. When he arrived, the dock was empty, just as Joel had described. He flew up to Grian's house and found him sitting on the couch, staring blankly at the wall.
"Grian, what's going on?" Xisuma asked gently. "Joel said you yelled at him. That's not like you."
Grian's frustration flared up again. "I'm sick of it, X! Everyone keeps coming to me about the damn permit office. Can't I just have some peace for once?!" He stood up, pacing the room, his anger boiling over. "Permit office this, permit office that. I'm doing the best I can!"
Xisuma raised his hands in a calming gesture. "I get it, Grian. It's a lot of pressure. But you need to talk to us, not bottle it up until you explode."
Grian stopped pacing and took a deep breath. "I know, X. I just... I need a break. From everything."
Xisuma nodded. "Then take one. We can handle things for a while. Just focus on yourself."
Grian sat back down, the weight of his frustration slowly lifting. "Thanks, X. I think I will."
Edited by yours truly! Adding in the POV switches, I wrote some of the dialogue it wanted to add to make it more like Grian snapped, which I love btw.
A different scenario played in my head where all of this happened, except Grian threw a mini barrel (like one from his dock) and it hit X's head and knocked him out- Idk if ya'll woulda wanted that one, but, alternate ending I suppose?
Lemme know if you want ChatGPT to try and write out that bit though-
Uhh, anyways, happy reading lovelies!!
