Hemophobia(Pt.19)
“Rainy showdown!”

Pluto cracked his neck as he yawned softly. His eyes were closed, clearly not taking this battle seriously with confidence that seemed to be untouchable. Popping his knuckles, stretching, and finally putting his hands in his pockets and slowly opening his eyes, his sapphire blue eyes piercing everyone around him but Eclipse and Luna.

“Dude you have no idea how long I've waited for this. We haven't sparred in like..5 years? It really shows. The old Luna wouldn't have gotten her fist caught.” Pluto taunted with a smile on his face.

Luna rolled her eyes in annoyance. Pluto always talked too much and it was like nails on a chalkboard to her, even after being MIA for all that time. She scoffed and took a step forward, ready to demonstrate to Pluto the wide gap there was between the two.

Eclipse however, was a little less excited to fight, which Luna caught almost immediately. He was shaking, his eyes narrowed in fear as his hands trembled no matter how hard he clenched his fists.

His breathing was bated and slow..something was definitely up with him that he wasn't telling her. Luna reached out to gently cup Eclipse's trembling fist with an open palm and gave it a gentle squeeze followed by a sweet smile which made Pluto's eyes widen.

Eclipse's breathing finally steadied, the comforting warmth of Luna’s hand making his lip twitch into a bit of a smile. This was short lived though as he felt his hairs stand up on his back which caused him to quickly turn his body around, nearly knocking him off balance.

His hand reached out, grabbing the body of an arrow, the tip of it inches away from his eyeball, causing him to let out a shaky breath. His hand clenched around it as he stood there in shock. Why were his reflexes so quick..and how did he know exactly where that arrow was coming from?

Luna immediately snatched Eclipse by the back of his gown, yanking him away from a hurdle of arrows that nearly turned him into a pincushion. She flicked his forehead out of frustration, causing him to wince and rub the same spot she hit.

“Idiot! You almost got turned into a target! You-”

Luna’s scolding was cut short as she heard the whistles of arrows fly her way. She hugged Eclipse close, making him let out a soft “oomph” sound as she ducked a few arrows and jumped back to avoid the rest.

She sighed heavily and flexed her calves, squatting down before jumping up onto a tree branch, hiding Eclipse and herself in the leaves. She stared down at the boy, watching him shake with confusion on her face.

“He was never scared of fighting before..what happened?” She thought to herself as she reached towards the back of her shirt pulling out her bow. She'd worry about that later, no point in interrogation.

Another arrow was launched towards her, but without sight of the target, it only hit the tree bark beside Luna’s head. She yanked the arrow out of the tree and slowly slipped it between her bow, stretching out the string with a smile on her face.

She sniffed around for a bit and quickly closed her eyes, letting the arrow fly and nailing someone hidden in the leaves just like her and Eclipse were. The person in Pluto’s crew fell off the branch lifeless and hit the ground with a thud to Pluto's annoyance.
