Hemophobia (PT.3)
"Tomorrow"A normal and quiet day at the facility, beautiful sky, beautiful flowers, birds and other animals…it was actually very peaceful…of course until that peace was broken by what sounded like a child grunting
“GAH! L-Luna! You said you were gonna go easy on meee!!”
Shouted the child who was laying on his back, panting heavily and looking up at a mysterious figure. The boy slowly got off the ground and prepared for another fight but was quickly subdued by getting his leg swept and what looked like a practice knife pressed firmly against his neck, giving him no time to react nor counter. The figure casually sat on their stomach and pressed their face against the cold, white marbled floor before opening their mouth to speak
“Oh okay like actual trained bodyguards are gonna treat you any better, Eclipse. Get up…that's enough training for today…”
Their voice was soft and feminine, but it wasn’t Jerika..but someone else. The figure sighed before getting up, slowly revealing herself in the light as she reached her hand out to pull the small boy up. it was revealed that the boy was the same child that Jerika found, #379, real name “Eclipse”. And the person who took him down to the ground was subject #347, otherwise known as “Luna”. Luna was a dark-skinned 14 year old girl with short, slightly curly hair, half of it being purple while the other half black. She had soft freckles from cheek to cheek, as well as glasses and a bandage patch on the side of her face. Her eyes were differently colored, one being black while the other one was a light baby blue. She didn't have on a hospital gown though. Instead she sported a cream colored sweater with long black jeans. Eclipse allowed her to pull him up with surprising strength, struggling to get to his feet for a sec before regaining his balance. He looked over at Luna with a pouty expression as he heard her reasoning for practically slamming him into the ground
“Well…yeah! I know that but it still hurts!”
He complained like the child he was as he rubbed the side of his face in pain. Luna couldn't help but find this little goober child in front of her adorable as a soft smile appeared on her face, tugging at the sides of her lips. With a soft sigh, She reached over to grab Eclipse's head and pull them against her body before playfully grinding her knuckle into his scalp
“Yeah yeah, whatever goofball. Come on, we need to go to the cafeteria in a bit. I heard they were selling ice cream today..”
She leaned over with a bright teasing smile on her face as she whispered into the boy’s ear
“If you promise not to complain I'll let you have some of my bowl too”
Those words alone made Eclipse smile widely, causing him to nod almost immediately. Without allowing her to finish her sentence, Eclipse ran off to the cafeteria, chanting the words “ice cream” over and over again until his voice faded out
Luna couldn't help but chuckle, not being able to handle the boy's innocence. However once Eclipse was out of sight, her expression changed. She let out a soft sigh and looked around the room for a bit, scanning it and taking in every detail, the white padded walls alone with the white marble floor. She noticed that some pieces of the wall were scratched at, showing what looked like dirt behind them.. She stood there for a bit, thinking to herself before nodding and walking off
“Hey! Wait up, Eclipse!”
The cafeteria is the setting now. The sounds of children laughing and talking loudly filled the room with a strangely peaceful atmosphere. The kids all had barcodes somewhere on their body. Either their neck, their arm, shoulder, back. It didn't matter.
