Chapter 26
People with playful, sunny personalities often hide unexpected depths. Take Davin, for example. He's like a cheerful puppy, full of joy, but there's a surprising side to him that reveals a more serious nature beneath the surface.
I woke up feeling depleted, my gaze was fixed on the ceiling above. I turned to look at Davin next to me who's still fast asleep, his total features look peacefully innocent right now-a total opposite of how rough he looked last night. Uminit ang pisngi ko habang inaalala 'yon.
I quickly sat down on the bed and observed my body. I covered my face with my hands as embarrassment started to consume me. We actually did it last night. Given that it still hurts down there, my face heated more.
I glanced at Davin for a moment, confirming he was still deeply asleep. Without clothes, I noticed his chest and his back that seemed a bit red, as if they were scratched. And I came to realize; I was the one who made that. Gosh, last night was no joke. I didn't expect he would be that... different.
Tumingin ako saglit sa alarm clock at 7 AM pa lang. I noticed the picture beside the lampshade.
We were both smiling. 'Yong cap niya ay nakapatong sa suot kong cap, nakaturo ang daliri niya sa akin, while ako ay naka-peace sign. There was a small lettering on the corner of the picture. Davin was the one who made it.

i heart to art youI got up and headed straight to the kitchen, preparing breakfast for both of us. I made a hearty meal of ham, eggs, bacon, and garlic fried rice, just the way he always does whenever he's home here. And to complete the morning refreshment, I also whipped up some iced coffee. Favorite pa man din namin 'to.
"Good morning, babe."
I almost startled as Davin appeared behind me, his voice still deep and his wavy hair was still ruffled from just waking up. He was not wearing a shirt, which I could clearly see a bit of red scratches on his skin caused by my fingernails.
My face heated again but I managed to conceal them by asking him, "Did you have a good sleep?"
"Hmm." Tumango siya. "Akala ko kung saan ka na pumunta. Thank you for breakfast, Red, love you," he said lazily as he gave me a peck on my cheek.
Umupo siya sa silya, handa nang kumain. I sat across him as we started having our meal. Hindi ako makatingin nang diretso sa kanya. Habang siya ay tahimik lang na kumakain. Mabilis nga niyang naubos 'yong pagkain niya.
"May masakit ba sa 'yo? Y-You know... about last night. Did I go too far?" he brought up with his ears getting red, causing me to choke upon my food.
"No, Davin. I'm alright, don't worry about it. Walang masakit. It was... good," I answered honestly with assurance.
I do not want him to feel bad about it at all. We both loved it, therefore neither of us should feel guilty.
He nodded carefully. "That's good to know." He wore his usual grin. "I heart to art you always."
I let out a gentle smile, feeling at ease because of his words. When we finished eating, we decided to do a general cleaning inside my condo. Holiday ngayon kaya wala kaming klase.
I started washing the dishes while Davin prepared the laundry for me.
"Babe! May ipis! May ipis!"
