Chapter 30
"Congratulations, Miss Redler, for being a part of Literaturny Vekov's rising author!"
I smiled wholeheartedly, my chest swelling with fulfillment at those words. The crowd broke out with applause at the Literaturny Vekov venue where a lot of books have been launched here. It feels surreal to realize that I have become a published author and join this publishing house.
I could finally say that I am happy with what I am doing. I am content by the way I am, being myself while braving the letters and voices that came out from my own thoughts.
And now, here is the result, naka-publish na ako ng dalawang libro, at kung tutuusin ay dapat sa Russian translation lang ang mayroon, pero talagang pumapabor sa akin ang good luck, mayroon na rin translation ang libro ko sa iba't ibang lenggwahe.
I slowly waved my hand while looking at the crowd. "Bol'shoye spasibo. Thank you so much for being with me here," I genuinely said.
It was really worth it that despite staying up late, writing nonstop, being mentally drained, and persistence, here I am and I have finally a published a book in English. My readers and those people who have supported me throughout this journey have gathered here in the venue, rooting for another milestone.
"Congrats, Ms. Redler! Oh my, I can't believe that you're actually here!" bati sa akin ng isa kong co-author na nasa aking tabi.
Heʼs Leonti, also known as D.I. Leonti as his author name. Many Russian authors and writers aspire to be him, including me.
"Right, glad to be one of you all, Mr. Leonti. I'm a fan."
"Spasibo! Been wanting to interact with you but I got really intimidated at first. I think I'm the fan here," he added jokingly.
I chuckled. "Is that so? What an honor to be recognized by you, Mr. Leonti."
"Same here, same here! Let's celebrate this later with them!" sagot niya, tinutukoy ang iba pang author na nandito sa venue.
They're really big names now. They are all Russian authors who gave their part in the literary industry.
"The book signing will be held later after a few minutes! You may proceed to the Book Inventory Shelves to entertain yourselves with the books you may want to purchase!"
After that announcement from the emcees, I and my co-authors went back to the Author's Lounge Room. I sat down on one of the small couches.
"May I sit here?"
I glanced at the person who spoke next to me. "Yes, yes, suit yourself, Ms. Sasha."
"Thank you! And no need to address me 'missʼ, just call me Sasha!" sagot niya at umupo sa tabi ko.
"Yes sure, Sasha. How are you these days?" I couldn't help but ask.
My co-authors are all lively and fun to interact with.
