Scene: Firehouse 118, Early Morning
It’s early morning at Firehouse 118. The team is slowly arriving for their exceptional 48 hour shift, enjoying their coffee and breakfast. Eddie and Buck are at the kitchen table, going over some paperwork. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed, the calm before the storm.
Bobby: (walking in with a clipboard) "Morning, everyone. We’ve got a full schedule today. Keep your radios on and be ready to move."
Buck: (taking a sip of his coffee) "You got it, Cap."
Eddie: (nodding) "Will do."
Just as Bobby finishes speaking, the alarm rings, signaling an emergency call. The team springs into action, grabbing their gear and heading to the firetruck.
Maddie: "Attention, 118. We have a high-rise building fire with multiple people trapped. Location: Downtown. Be advised, the fire is rapidly spreading. Time is of the essence."
Bobby: (calling out) "Alright team, let’s move! This is a big one. Stay sharp and watch each other’s backs."
Scene: Downtown High-Rise Building
The firetruck speeds through the busy streets, sirens blaring. As they approach the scene, the team is met with a towering inferno. Flames are shooting out of multiple floors, and smoke billows into the sky. People are screaming and crying, desperate for help.
Bobby: "Alright, listen up. Hen, Chimney, you handle triage and evacuate the lower floors. Buck, Eddie, you’re with me. We’re going up. Reports say there are people trapped on the 15th floor."
Buck: "Got it, Cap."
Eddie: "Let’s do this."
The three of them gear up and make their way into the building. The heat is intense, and the smoke makes it hard to see. They navigate through the chaos, their training kicking in as they climb the stairs, floor by floor.
Bobby: "Keep moving! We don’t have much time!"
They reach the 15th floor and are met with a scene of devastation. The fire is raging, and debris is everywhere. They can hear cries for help from different directions.
Buck: "We need to split up. Cover more ground."
Bobby: "Agreed. Eddie, take the left corridor. Buck, you’re with me. We’ll take the right."
Eddie: "On it."
Eddie heads down the left corridor, checking rooms and calling out for survivors. He finds a family huddled in a corner, their faces covered in soot.
Eddie: "It’s okay, I’m here to help. Follow me, stay low."
He leads them back to the stairwell, handing them off to Hen and Chimney who are coordinating the evacuation.
Hen: "Good work, Eddie. Keep going, there’s more up there."
Eddie: (nodding) "Be right back."
Meanwhile, Buck and Bobby are navigating the right corridor. They find an elderly couple trapped in their apartment, unable to move due to the heavy smoke and heat.
Buck: "We’re getting you out of here. Hang on."
They help the couple to their feet and guide them out of the building. As they head back in, they hear a loud crash from above.
Bobby: "That sounded bad. We need to move faster."
They rejoin Eddie on the 15th floor, where the fire has intensified. The floor is becoming unstable, and the smoke is getting thicker.
