Scene: Dancefloor

The dance floor quickly filled after Buck and Eddie's first dance, the music flowing effortlessly as the celebration continued. Bobby and Athena, the seasoned dancers, led the charge, their movements smooth and synchronized, effortlessly setting the tone for everyone else. The crowd followed suit, laughter and chatter mixing with the music, filling the room with energy and joy.

Christopher, unable to resist the pull of the dance floor, grabbed Buck’s hand with a wide, eager grin. He tugged at Buck’s arm, trying to pull him onto the floor.

Christopher: “Come on, Buck! Let’s dance!” (he urged, practically bouncing on his feet.)

Buck, amused and moved by Christopher’s enthusiasm, couldn’t help but laugh. “Alright, alright,” he said, his voice warm and full of affection. With a playful sigh, he followed Christopher to the floor, the two of them moving together in a way that felt effortless, like they'd been dancing partners forever.

Eddie stood back for a moment, watching them with a fond smile on his face. His eyes softened as he took in the sight of his son and his husband, both so happy and full of life. His heart swelled with love for them both.

Then, feeling a tap on his shoulder, Eddie turned to find Bobby giving him a nod, a knowing grin on his face.

Bobby: "You coming or what, Eddie? You can’t leave them alone out there."

Eddie chuckled, shaking his head, but the smile on his face was undeniable. Without another word, he joined Buck and Christopher on the dance floor, his arms wrapping around Christopher’s waist as Buck stepped in close to Eddie, their hands naturally finding each other. The three of them danced together, moving with the music, laughter and shouts of joy filling the air. The crowd watched as Eddie and Buck showed off their own moves, playful and carefree, their bond clear in every step.

As the night wore on, the dance floor remained packed with guests. Everyone from the oldest relatives to the youngest children joined in, letting loose and celebrating in a way that only a wedding could inspire. The DJ played a mix of classic hits, songs that had everyone singing along, and newer tracks that kept the energy high. Couples danced, friends laughed, and the air was filled with the sounds of love and happiness.

At one point, after the floor had cleared for a brief moment, Chimney grabbed the microphone from the DJ booth, his mischievous grin unmistakable. Maddie, sitting at a nearby table with her drink, rolled her eyes but couldn’t help the amused smile that tugged at her lips.

Chimney (with a dramatic pause): "I just want to say something to the newlyweds. Buck, Eddie—today is a perfect day, and you two are proof that sometimes, the best love stories come from the most unexpected places. But don’t worry, I won’t make this all sappy. I’ve got a little confession to make too."

The crowd quieted slightly, sensing that Chimney was about to say something either heartfelt or ridiculously funny—probably both.

Chimney (grinning): "Buck, I think you owe me twenty bucks from our last bet. Remember? But seeing as it’s your wedding day and all, I’m feeling generous. Consider it a wedding gift. But next time, I expect to get that cash on time, alright?"

Laughter erupted from the crowd as Buck, his face flushed with amusement, gave Chimney an exaggerated look of mock outrage.

Buck: "You’ve got to be kidding me, Chimney. You’re still holding that over my head? Fine, but you better not spend it all in one place."

Chimney raised his hands in mock surrender, still grinning from ear to ear.

Chimney: "Hey, I’m just making sure you’re on your toes. But seriously, you two are the best. I’m proud to call you both my family."
