Scene: Buck and Eddie’s Living Room, Late Afternoon
Back at home, the sunlight streamed through the windows, casting a warm glow across the living room. Buck and Eddie settled on the couch, the events of the morning still lingering in their minds. Buck was propped up against the armrest, a cozy blanket draped over his legs, while Eddie sat close by, their hands intertwined.
Buck: "I loved the opening scene. Deadpool just has this way of making everything so funny."
Eddie: "Yeah, and the chemistry between him and Wolverine was great. Even though I haven’t seen all the other movies, I could tell their history."
Buck: "Totally. They’ve got this epic rivalry and friendship thing going on. Like in the comics, they’re always at each other’s throats, but deep down, they respect each other. That’s why it’s so funny and heartwarming to see them team up."
Eddie nodded, squeezing Buck’s hand gently.
Eddie: "It’s amazing how they balance humor and action. I found myself laughing one moment and then on the edge of my seat the next."
Buck: "That’s the magic of Deadpool. He’s completely unpredictable. One minute he’s cracking jokes, the next he’s taking down a room full of bad guys. And Ryan Reynolds nails that balance perfectly."
Eddie: "I have to admit, I was a bit lost with some of the references, but I still enjoyed it. You make it sound like these characters have such a deep backstory."
Buck’s eyes lit up as he leaned in closer, excited to share more.
Buck: "Oh, they do! Like, in the first Deadpool movie, there’s this scene where he breaks the fourth wall and makes a joke about the X-Men timeline being all over the place. It’s hilarious because it’s true! The X-Men movies have jumped around so much, it’s hard to keep track. But Deadpool plays with that and turns it into a joke."
Eddie: "I remember you mentioning something about timelines. So, how does Wolverine fit into all of this?"
Buck: "Wolverine’s story is pretty complex. He’s got this tragic past, full of pain and loss, which makes his interactions with Deadpool even more interesting. Like, in 'Logan,' it was this gritty, emotional farewell to the character. Seeing him in a more lighthearted setting with Deadpool was refreshing but also poignant because you know what he’s been through."
Eddie chuckled, shaking his head.
Eddie: "I can’t believe I missed out on all this. But I’m glad I got to see it with you. You make it so much more enjoyable."
Buck smiled, a warm feeling spreading through him.
Buck: "I’m just glad you were there with me. It’s been a long time since we did something like that just you and me."
Eddie shifted closer, wrapping an arm around Buck’s shoulders.
Eddie: "We’ll have plenty more movie dates. Today was just the beginning."
They sat in comfortable silence for a few moments, the gentle hum of the world outside blending with the peace inside their home.
Buck: "You know, even though I fell asleep, just being there with you, watching the movie, it meant a lot. It felt like things were getting back to normal."
Eddie: "It did. And we’ll keep doing things like this, little by little. I’m just happy you’re here, and we can share these moments together."
Buck: "Me too. And thank you, Eddie, for being there through everything. I couldn’t have made it without you."
Eddie leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to Buck’s temple.
