Finally something about Cirrus and Cumulus!! I wanted to write something about them for so long already, so thank you so much for the request!

Third person pov:

Cirrus, Cumulus and Aurora were out. They were the only three ghoulettes at the ministry and sometimes they just wanted to have some time for themselves. So every once in a while, they went out to go to the town where was a mall. They enjoyed hanging out together, walking around the shops, getting new clothes and just chatting together. They were all very good friends, despite Aurora being rather new. Cumulus and Cirrus, having known each other ever since they got summoned, liked the young ghoulette and immediately "adopted" her. They loved her, even though they were both sad Sunshine had to leave.

However, as it got later Aurora excused herself. She told them she had something else to take care of at the ministry so she would leave to take care of that. She knew Cumulus and Cirrus were close with each other... as in, really close. And even though they had never said anything she could tell there could possibly be even more than just a simple friendship. And she would try everything she could to make that happen.

"Oh an before I leave, I heard there was this meteor night today! There will be a bunch of shooting stars, I bet it will look wonderful!" Aurora said with a huge smile. She tried her best to make them catch up on her hint. She wanted to spend some alone time together, in a romantic way. She wanted them to do something nice together, something they didn't do everyday. "Oh that sounds lovely, thank you for letting us know" Cumulus answered with a smile, and also Cirrus nodded. "Yeah thank you, we will see you later love" Cirrus said with a soft smile. Aurora nodded at them before she waved and walked off, leaving the other two ghoulettes to themselves.

Cirrus and Cumulus exchanged a look as she left. They were normally spending a lot of time together anyways, but for some reason this felt different. Neither of them knew why, and they didn't address it either. They simply continued like before, walking around some more shops and going to get something for dinner. It was nice, but they both couldn't shake off the feeling that something was different. Something felt odd, but not even in a bad way. It felt weird in a nice way, for some reason, and it was confusing for both of them.

"So... do you want to watch the meteor night?" Cirrus hesitantly asked as they were walking back to the ministry. They had been quiet for some time, until she decided to speak up. Cumulus smiled softly and nodded at her. "I'd love that. If what Aurora said is true I bet it will be a wonderful sight" she replied, and Cirrus nodded in agreement. They decided to quickly bring their stuff to their rooms before meeting again in the hallway. "So, some snacks and drinks and then we'll go outside?" the taller air ghoulette asked, and Cumulus nodded. "Yeah, sounds lovely" she agreed with a soft chuckle so they quickly made their way over to the kitchen. They both rummaged through some cupboards and the fridge until they had found enough snacks and also some drinks.

"Ready?" Cirrus asked, and the other ghoulette nodded with a soft hum. Together they walked through the ministry and out of the back door, making their way through the garden and over to the small pond near the church. The smaller air ghoulette placed a blanket on the ground she had brought, making it more comfortable for them. They both sat down, exchanging a soft glance before placing the snacks on the blanket. "This looks nice. Almost romantic, isn't it?" Cumulus asked with a small chuckle and looked up to Cirrus who smiled as well. "Yeah, you're right. It's really sweet actually" she agreed.

"Do you know how late it is? It's already getting dark" Cumulus then asked as she looked up to the sky, partly to try and figure out what the time could be and partly because she wanted to check if there were any shooting stars yet. Cirrus hummed softly "It's almost 9pm already..." she mumbled finally and placed her phone somewhere on the blanket. She didn't want to pay any attention to her phone now. Only to the ghoulette next to her. They had both noticed the difference and the tension in the air ever since Aurora had left them today. They noticed the shift in both of their demeanors, but they still couldn't quite place it.

But as the night went on they fell into another one of their lively and nice conversations. They were always good at being just open and sweet to each other. They always had something to talk about, always something to say. It was enviable, actually. They were eating their snacks and drinking some of the wine they had brought, chatting and laughing the time away. That was until Cirrus suddenly stopped and pointed at the sky. "Oh my god! Did you see that?" she asked, a wide grin on her face. The smaller one quickly followed her look, but she was too late to see the shooting star. "Did you see one?" she asked with a small smile, and Cirrus hummed in confirmation. "Then that means you have a wish" Cumulus said with a soft hum.

Cirrus chuckled softly and closed her eyes, trying to think of something to wish for. "And... did you wish for something?" she continued after a moment. "I did... but I can't tell you what I asked for, right?" Cirrus answered with a small, cheeky grin what only made Cumulus giggle a little. "Right, you can't. Or else it won't come true" she confirmed. She then slowly lay down on her back to look at the sky, and she noticed Cirrus doing the same. The sky was clear, full of stars and truly just beautiful. After the shooting star Cirrus saw, there were following a bunch more. It was a mesmerizing view, and the way the two ghoulettes lay there together was even more gorgeous.

Anyone could see what was between them, something other ones would call love, but the two of them somehow seemed a little oblivious to it. "It's beautiful..." Cumulus mumbled after a long while of silence, her gaze fixed on the sky in awe. Cirrus hummed and slowly turned her head to look at her friend. There was a thought lingering in her head, and she thought for quite some time if she should act on it or not. But she decided that she should just go for it. She knew there was basically nothing that could change what they had. "Not as beautiful as you..." she mumbled finally.

Cumulus smiled softly. She could hear the sincerity in her voice. She could hear that it was more than just a normal and faint compliment like they told each other ever so often. This was real, this ran deep. She slowly turned her head to look at Cirrus as well. "You really think so?" she asked softly, just wanting to make sure this was not just some kind of dream. Cirrus chuckled softly and inched closer. "Does it sound like I am?" she asked, and Cumulus couldn't help but giggle softly as well. "No... no it doesn't. Just making sure..." she mumbled softly, noticing the way her friend moved closer, their faces only a few centimeters away from each other.

Without another thought Cirrus moved even closer, gently capturing Cumulus' lips into a soft kiss. And for both of their surprises, she just kissed back. They shared a tender kiss, a kiss like it was the most normal thing in the world. By the time they parted again they were both smiling brightly, trying to make sense of it. It had felt so natural, so nice even though it had been the first time they did it. "Do you think this could be love...?" Cumulus whispered after a moment and Cirrus nodded. "I believe it is..." she muttered back with a smile, turning onto her side and gently laying a hand on the smaller ghoulette's cheek. "If you want it to be, that is" she then added, and Cumulus couldn't help but chuckle. "Of course I want it to be" she said softly.

They could feel their hearts swell with love and adoration for the other, and they kissed again, just as tenderly and softly as before while there were still shooting stars to be seen above them in the sky.
