Sodo knew not to touch anything. With his natural warmth, anything he would touch would most likely be dry and dead within seconds. It happened once, that the fire ghoul had accidentally burned down an entirely plant in the earth ghoul's greenhouse. It had happened when Dew had just transformed into his new element, and at that time he had yet to get used to it. Being a water ghoul first, he was always fairly good with plants. He had at least never harmed any of them, so Mountain never minded the smaller ghoul in his greenhouse. But when that plant had burnt down... Sodo had never seen Mountain so mad before. Or ever again. They hadn't spoken a couple days after the incident, and the fire ghoul honestly couldn't understand how someone could be so damn obsessed with a fucking plant.

But he didn't questioned it out loud. And he also barely went into Mountain's greenhouse ever again. And if he did, he mostly got a glare from the giant. Honestly, Sodo still felt guilty about it. It was just a plant, sure, and Sodo also couldn't help and think that Mountain did in fact overreact, but at the same time he had some sort of idea what kind of connection he had to his self grown crops and herbs. Dew had always made sure to be careful from then on, and until now, nothing had ever happened again. But it was only a matter of time until there would be another accident.

Sodo was sent to the greenhouse by Sister to fetch some herbs. The fire ghoul knew that basically any plants needed for the infirmary could be found in Mountain's greenhouse, so he figured he would check there first. That way, he wouldn't have to look around for ages, and probably without finding anything after that. Besides, Mountain was there basically all the time anyways. If Sodo had learned one thing over the years living with the gentle earth ghoul, then it was that he was barely ever in his own room or the common room. He was just inside for rehearsals, meal time and sometimes game or movie nights with the others. But other than that; outside in his greenhouse, meaning it was basically impossible for Dew to miss him.

As he arrived in the ministry's gardens, he quickly made his way to the various greenhouses they had. One stood still empty, in remembrance of Papa I, and the other two were used by some sisters of sin. The one in the very back though, belonged to Mountain, so that's where Sodo went. He gently slid the door open, but he couldn't spot the earth ghoul right away. He was a little confused, and his brow furrowed in confusion. He looked back over his shoulder, trying to see if Mountain was anywhere nearby, but he couldn't spot the other. He figured that maybe he was somewhere inside, just hiding behind some plants that had grown quite high, or maybe he was just getting something from somewhere else and will come back in a moment.

The fire ghoul stepped inside the greenhouse and looked around a second time, but Mountain was in fact not here right now. Sodo decided to wait, knowing very well that the earth ghoul would come back here eventually. While he waited, Dew walked around the greenhouse, taking a look at all the different plants Mountain had grown over time. It had been years since Dew had been in here, and he actually found it to be quite interesting. He already checked if Mountain was growing the herbs he was sent to fetch, and from what he recognized with the very small knowledge he had, he already saw most of them.

Humming a random tune, he got closer to some of the plants to examine them a little closer. He didn't think much of it, really, he was just bored waiting for Mountain. He used his hand to lightly feel one of the leaves, but immediately regretted it. He jumped back, and his eyes widened in shock as the leave lit up in a small flame, caused by his element. "Fuck-" Sodo cursed, trying to think of a way to extinguish the fire, but he had no idea. All he could do was stand and watch as one of the plants was soon fully engulfed in fire, burning down to the ground. The fire ghoul could feel his blood run cold at the mere thought of what will happen once Mountain notices. There wouldn't be any way of talking himself out of this; based on the scene it could only be one person. Sodo had no chance with just running away and hoping the earth ghoul wouldn't suspect him.
