Links strongly to the oneshot "noisy" :) A hint of Rain x Mountain in there, and obviously Swiss x Sodo too :3

Phantom had tossed and turned al l night, but no matter how hard he pressed his pillow on his head, or how loud he played music through his headphones, he couldn't drown out the noises from outside. Having to share a wall with Swiss was an absolute nightmare, because the walls were thin. Like, really thin. He could hear every single noise. No matter if it was the way the bed tapped against the wall, the way it creaked or the sounds both Swiss and Sodo made. Normally he was able to at least somewhat drown it out, but today it was worse. He guessed that they had smoked some weed. Those were the worst nights.

The next morning he somehow dragged himself into the kitchen. He was barely able to keep his eyes open. He got three hours of sleep last night, tops, and that was everything but enough for him. Phantom had been summoned just three weeks ago. Enough time to get used to the ministry and the other ghouls, but not enough time to properly learn how to dosage his energy up here. He slumped down at the kitchen table, his head laying down on the desk, onto his arms. He didn't feel like moving at all. Maybe he should've just stayed in his bed...

A couple minutes later, Rain and Mountain came in together. They didn't look very awake either, but better than Phantom. They slept at the end of the hallway, and even they had heard Swiss and Sodo, but they at least knew how to use their energy correctly, making them not even close as tired as Phantom must feel. "Make him a hot chocolate..." Rain whispered to the earth ghoul, who quickly nodded and got to work. Rain sat down next to the young quint in the meantime. This was actually not the first time this was happening, but this time was worse than the other times.

Rain rubbed Phantom's back gently as he sat there next to him, the mug of steaming hot chocolate now placed in front of him, but he didn't even bother looking up. Worry was etched onto Rain's face as he sat there. He had come to care a lot about him. And so did Mountain, but Rain was usually the one who was way more concerned. The water ghoul promised himself to make those two ghouls shut up at night. Because as much as he loved Phantom, he could be a pain in the ass when he was all tired and sulky in the morning. Besides, neither him or Mountain wanted Phantom to have some longterm issues because of not enough sleep.

When Sodo and Swiss then eventually came in, Phantom didn't bother trying to listen. He wasn't exactly asleep either, though. He had a pounding headache, and the others constant talking in such loud voices wasn't helping. He heard his name falling every now and then, especially when he groaned a little in pain, but he never replied or even looked up. He wasn't going to move. He felt like dying, honestly, even if it felt silly to him. He didn't do much later in the day either. He spend the day with Mountain and Rain, mainly with Mountain though, even if he was closer to the water ghoul. Spending the time at the greenhouse was just more relaxing. It was quite in there, and with Mountain's calming aura he felt much better already.

When evening rolled around, Phantom sat with the other ghouls in the living room. The TV was on, and a random movie was playing. Phantom felt better than that morning, but he still wasn't quite able to listen that much. The only two ones that were missing were... of course, Sodo and Swiss. But no one paid it much mind. Those two were nearly almost absent on their shared movie nights. They had stopped wondering about them ages ago, and Phantom had quickly come to learn the same thing.

At only 10pm however, Phantom already felt like his eyes would fall shut any moment. He sighed deeply and stood up, "sorry guys... but I'm tired. I'll see y'all tomorrow." The others looked up at him with empathetic smiles. They all understood him all too well. "Alright love, sleep well. Hopefully without any interruptions tonight," Cumulus said, and Phantom smiled tiredly at those words. "Yeah hopefully..." he mumbled back. He gave them all a wave, before he walked out of the living room and down the hallway to his own bedroom. He didn't bother doing much to get ready for bed. He merely changed into a pair of sweats and brushed his teeth. He then slumped down on his bed, wrapped himself up in the blanket and enjoyed the quiet.
