The full moon loomed ominously over Hogwarts, casting an eerie glow across the castle grounds. As the time approached, the Marauders, along with Eliza, gathered in the Gryffindor common room, their faces set with determination. They had convinced Remus to let them accompany him to the Shrieking Shack during his transformation. Though they were not yet fully transformed into their Animagus forms, they were determined to be there for their friend.

"Alright, we've got everything we need," James said, holding up the Marauder's Map and an invisibility cloak. "Let's move quickly and quietly."

Sirius nodded, his face serious. "We've got your back, Remus."

Remus, looking pale and anxious, managed a weak smile. "I appreciate this, really. But it's dangerous. You don't have to do this."

Eliza stepped forward, her eyes filled with resolve. "Yes, we do. We're here for you, Remus. You don't have to go through this alone."

The group made their way through the castle, the invisibility cloak draped over them as they navigated the dimly lit corridors. The Marauder's Map guided their steps, showing the positions of teachers and other students, ensuring they avoided detection.

"Shh, Filch is coming," Peter whispered urgently, pointing at a moving dot on the map.

They pressed themselves against the wall, holding their breath as the caretaker's shuffling footsteps echoed down the corridor. Once the coast was clear, they resumed their journey, hearts pounding with a mix of fear and determination.

Finally, they reached the Whomping Willow, its branches swaying menacingly in the moonlight. James used a long stick to press the knot at the base of the tree, freezing it in place.

"Alright, quickly now," James urged, leading the way into the hidden tunnel that led to the Shrieking Shack.

As they emerged in the dilapidated building, the full moon shone through the broken windows, bathing the room in an otherworldly light. Remus's transformation was imminent, and he was visibly struggling to contain the beast within.

"We're here for you, Remus," Eliza said softly, holding his hand as he trembled in the moonlight.

Remus looked at her, his eyes filled with gratitude and pain. "Thank you, Eliza. You don't know what this means to me."

Sirius and James stood nearby, ready to intervene if necessary, while Peter kept a watchful eye on the entrance.

"Remember, we're all in this together," James said, his voice steady. "We won't let anything happen to you."

The transformation began, and Remus's body contorted in agony. Fur sprouted from his skin, and his limbs twisted into the shape of a fearsome werewolf. The process was excruciating to watch, and Eliza's heart ached for her friend.

"It's alright, Remus. You're not alone," Eliza whispered, tears brimming in her eyes as she held onto his hand until the very last moment.

Once fully transformed, the werewolf that was Remus let out a heart-wrenching howl. The Marauders, though not yet Animagi, stood their ground. They had prepared for this, and they knew that their presence could help Remus retain some semblance of control.

Sirius stepped forward, his voice calm and soothing. "Hey, Moony, it's us. We're here with you."

The werewolf's eyes, filled with a mixture of ferocity and confusion, locked onto Sirius. For a moment, it seemed as if Remus recognized his friends. The beast's aggressive stance relaxed slightly, and it began to pace the room, staying away from them but not attacking.

James, ever the strategist, kept his wand at the ready, prepared to cast a stunning spell if things went awry. "We're going to get through this, Remus. Just hang in there."

The night was long and fraught with tension, but the Marauders never wavered. They talked to Remus, their words of encouragement and friendship cutting through the fog of his transformation. Eliza's presence seemed to have a particularly calming effect on the werewolf, her gentle voice and unwavering support anchoring him in the storm of his own mind.

As the first light of dawn crept through the windows, the werewolf began to transform back into Remus. Exhausted and battered, he collapsed onto the floor, breathing heavily.

Eliza was the first to reach him, her eyes filled with concern. "Remus, are you alright?"

Remus nodded weakly, his voice hoarse. "I... I think so. Thank you, all of you. I don't know what I would have done without you."

James clapped him on the shoulder. "We're a team, Moony. We stick together."

Sirius grinned, though his eyes were tired. "And we're not going anywhere. Next full moon, we'll be even more prepared."

Peter, who had been uncharacteristically quiet throughout the night, spoke up. "We're your friends, Remus. Always."

As they helped Remus to his feet and began the journey back to the castle, Eliza felt a deep sense of camaraderie and relief. They had faced the full moon together, and their bond had only grown stronger.

"We'll find a way to make this easier," Eliza said softly to Remus as they walked. "I promise."

Remus gave her a tired but grateful smile. "I believe you, Eliza. Thank you."

With the first full moon adventure behind them, the Marauders knew there would be many more challenges ahead. But they also knew that, together, they could face anything.
