The Hogwarts Express rattled along the tracks, its rhythmic chugging punctuating the excited chatter of returning students. Inside one compartment, the Marauders-James, Sirius, Remus, Peter, and Eliza-were engrossed in animated conversation, catching up on their eventful summers and eagerly discussing the year ahead.

James, his glasses askew and hair wild as ever, leaned forward eagerly. "You guys won't believe the fireworks display my dad let me set off at home! Nearly blew up the garden shed!"

Sirius, reclining comfortably with his feet on the seat opposite, smirked. "Please, Prongs. That's amateur hour compared to the magical mayhem I unleashed. Mum's still finding enchanted streamers in the attic!"

Remus chuckled softly, adjusting his book bag. "Well, my summer was rather quiet in comparison. Lots of reading and helping Mum around the house. Needed the peace after last year."

Peter, sitting nervously in his seat, chimed in. "I, uh, helped Mum with some spells in the garden. Nothing as exciting as blowing up sheds or enchanted streamers, though."

Eliza, sitting close to Remus, couldn't help but grin at their antics. She nudged Remus playfully. "You never mentioned how your mum reacted to the chaos in the garden."

Remus rolled his eyes with a fond smile. "Let's just say she wasn't thrilled with the unexpected topiary that looked like a Blast-Ended Skrewt."

Their laughter filled the compartment as the train sped through the countryside. Amidst the banter and shared tales of summer escapades, Remus stole glances at Eliza. He admired the way her eyes sparkled with amusement, how her laughter was like music to his ears. There was a warmth between them that transcended mere friendship-a closeness that had grown stronger over the summer.

As the journey continued, Remus and Eliza found a moment to slip away from the lively chatter of their friends. They found a quiet spot near the back of the train, away from prying eyes and curious ears. Leaning against the corridor wall, they exchanged stories and shared secrets that had been whispered in letters over the summer.

Remus brushed a loose strand of hair from Eliza's face, his touch gentle. "I missed you," he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper.

Eliza smiled softly, her heart fluttering at his nearness. "I missed you too," she admitted, her fingers tracing the edge of his sleeve.

In that secluded corner of the train, surrounded by the comforting rumble of the wheels on the tracks, they shared a moment that sealed their reunion. Remus leaned in, his lips brushing against hers in a tender kiss. It was a silent promise of the year ahead, of the challenges they would face together, and the moments they would steal away from the chaos of Hogwarts life.

Their embrace lingered for a heartbeat longer before they reluctantly pulled apart, knowing that their friends would be wondering about their absence soon. But in that stolen moment, amidst the rush of the journey and the anticipation of the new school year, Remus and Eliza found solace in each other's presence, their bond stronger than ever as they faced the adventures that awaited them at Hogwarts.
