The crisp autumn air was filled with excitement as Quidditch season kicked off at Hogwarts. The Gryffindor team, led by James and Sirius as Co-Captains, both had high hopes for a triumphant season.

One Saturday morning, the Gryffindor team gathered on the pitch for an early practice session. James, his broomstick hovering just above the ground, addressed the team with enthusiasm. "Alright, team, we've got a match against Slytherin coming up. We need to be at our best. Let's run through our plays and make sure we're ready."

Sirius, grinning mischievously, nudged James. "And maybe we can have a little fun while we're at it."

James smirked, catching the gleam in Sirius's eyes. "I'm all for it, but let's focus on winning first. Then we can talk pranks."

The team took to the air, running through their plays with precision and skill. Eliza, watching from the stands with Remus and Peter, couldn't help but feel a swell of pride for her brother and friend.

As the day of the match approached, the Marauders gathered in the Gryffindor common room to finalize their prank plans. James leaned over a piece of parchment, sketching out their strategy. "Alright, we need to make sure this goes off without a hitch. Sirius, you've got the enchantment for the shoelaces?"

Sirius nodded, a wicked grin spreading across his face. "It's all set. The moment they hit the pitch, their shoelaces will be tied together."

Peter, eager to contribute, piped up. "And I've got the Dungbombs ready. They'll go off just as the match starts."

Remus, ever the voice of caution, interjected. "Just make sure it doesn't interfere with the game. We don't want to be disqualified."

James clapped Remus on the back. "Don't worry, Moony. We've got it all under control."

The day of the match arrived, and the stands were packed with students from all houses, eager to see the rivalry between Gryffindor and Slytherin play out on the field. The air buzzed with anticipation as the teams took their positions.

Madam Hooch's whistle blew, and the players launched into the air. James darted forward, the Quaffle tucked securely under his arm, while Sirius and the other Beater, Blake, zoomed around, deflecting Bludgers with expert precision.

As the match progressed, James and Sirius exchanged a knowing glance. It was time. With a subtle flick of his wand, Sirius activated the enchantment, and the Slytherin players' shoelaces began to tie themselves together.

From the stands, Eliza and Remus watched in amusement as the Slytherin Chasers suddenly stumbled, their movements hindered by the tangled laces. The Gryffindor team seized the advantage, scoring goal after goal while the Slytherins struggled to stay upright.

The crowd erupted in laughter as the Slytherin Beaters, attempting to retaliate, found themselves tripping over their own feet. The prank was a resounding success, adding an element of chaos to the already intense match.

James, capitalizing on the confusion, performed a daring manoeuvre to score a spectacular goal. The Gryffindor supporters roared with approval, their cheers echoing across the pitch.

As the final whistle blew, signalling Gryffindor's victory, the team gathered in a triumphant huddle. James beamed at his teammates. "Brilliant job, everyone. An excellent work on the prank, Sirius."

Sirius laughed, clapping James on the shoulder. "We make a good team, Captain."

Back in the Gryffindor common room, the celebration was in full swing. The fire crackled merrily in the hearth, and the room was filled with the sounds of laughter and jubilation. Eliza, despite her lingering exhaustion, couldn't help but join in the festivities.

Remus, ever attentive, stayed close to her side. "You holding up alright?" he asked softly, concern evident in his eyes.

Eliza nodded, a genuine smile spreading across her face. "I am, Remus. Today was... it was exactly what I needed."

Sirius, overhearing their conversation, approached with a grin. "And don't worry, Eliza. We've got plenty more tricks up our sleeves."

The night stretched on with tales of the match and plans for future pranks. Despite the challenges they faced outside the pitch, the Marauders and Eliza found solace and strength in their unity. The bonds of friendship, forged in laughter and mischief, held them together, ready to face whatever the future had in store.
