The Marauders' dormitory was a chaotic mix of scattered books, hastily discarded robes, and the remnants of countless prank preparations. Despite the close bonds they shared, their differing levels of tidiness often led to moments of friction. This morning, Eliza's patience had worn thin as she navigated through the clutter left by Sirius and James.

Eliza, already feeling the weight of her sleepless nights and lingering nightmares, found herself tripping over a pile of James's Quidditch gear. She caught herself against the bedpost, irritation flaring.

"Sirius! James! Can you please pick up after yourselves?" she called out, her voice edged with frustration.

Sirius looked up from his spot on his bed, where he was half-heartedly paging through a Defense Against the Dark Arts textbook. He gave Eliza a sheepish grin. "Sorry, Eliza. I'll get to it."

James, who was sprawled out on the floor drawing up new Quidditch plays, barely glanced up. "Yeah, yeah. We'll clean it up later."

Eliza's eyes narrowed. "No, you'll clean it up now. This mess is getting ridiculous. It's not fair to the rest of us."

Remus, who had been quietly reading in the corner, looked up, sensing the tension. He stood and walked over to Eliza, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "She's right, you know. We all share this space, and it's only fair that everyone keeps it tidy."

James sighed, finally sitting up. "Alright, alright. Don't get your knickers in a twist, Eliza. We'll clean up."

Sirius rolled his eyes but got to his feet, starting to gather his belongings. "Remind me again why we keep you around, Prongs? Your mess is bigger than the lot of us combined."

Peter, who had been quietly studying at his desk, chuckled. "Maybe we should just charm everything to clean itself up."

Eliza crossed her arms, her irritation ebbing slightly as she watched them begin to clean. "That would be great, but until then, how about we all just try to be a bit more considerate?"

Sirius tossed a crumpled sock in James's direction. "You hear that, Prongs? Be considerate."

James dodged the sock and grinned. "I'll try my best. But no promises."

As they worked together to restore order to their dormitory, the atmosphere lightened. Remus continued to help Eliza organize her side of the room, making sure she didn't overexert herself.

"Thanks, Remus," Eliza said softly, placing a stack of books on her shelf. "I just can't deal with the mess on top of everything else."

Remus smiled gently. "I understand. It's important to have a calm space, especially with everything you're dealing with."

James, having cleared away the last of his clutter, came over to Eliza. "Sorry, Eliza. We'll try to keep it neater from now on."

Eliza nodded, appreciating the gesture. "Thanks, James. That means a lot."

Sirius, having finished his part of the cleanup, plopped back down on his bed. "Alright, now that that's sorted, how about we get back to the important stuff? Like planning our next prank."

Eliza rolled her eyes but couldn't help but smile. "Fine, but can we at least do it without turning the room into a disaster zone?"

James grinned, grabbing a piece of parchment. "Deal. Now, I've got this idea involving Peeves and some enchanted pumpkins..."

As they huddled together to brainstorm, the tension melted away, replaced by the familiar camaraderie and mischievous energy that defined their group. Eliza felt a sense of relief, knowing that despite the chaos, she could always count on her friends to support her.

The rest of the day passed with a renewed sense of order and purpose. Even as they dove into their pranks and plans, there was a noticeable effort from Sirius and James to keep their shared space tidy. Eliza couldn't help but feel a swell of gratitude for her friends. They might be messy, but they were her family, and together, they could handle anything that came their way.

As night fell, Eliza settled into her bed with a sigh of contentment. The dormitory was calm and orderly, a stark contrast to the turmoil she often felt inside. Remus sat beside her, reading a book, while James and Sirius whispered animatedly about their next grand scheme.

"Goodnight, Eliza," Remus said softly, giving her hand a gentle squeeze.

"Goodnight, Remus," she replied, feeling a sense of peace as she closed her eyes.

Despite the nightmares that still haunted her, Eliza knew she was surrounded by friends who cared deeply for her. And with their support, she felt stronger and more capable of facing the challenges that lay ahead.
