"You took the kid to a bank robbery?!?" Tony's voice reverberated through the room.
Indigo slouched on her couch, nursing a pounding headache with a glass of wine. She knew Peter was at school this morning, which explained why Tony Stark was now in her living room, unleashing his fury.
"How do you know it was us?" Indigo asked calmly, taking a long sip of her white wine.
"I got a call about some webbing left behind at a robbery and a mug shot of a guy who looked like he got in a fight with a bear," Tony said, standing a couple of feet from her. She could tell he was furious; the little vein in his neck was bulging. "I know how you fight, Willow. Only you would leave a man looking like that."
Indigo sighed, knowing Tony could read her too well sometimes.
"Look, Petey was going to go with or without me. So I really did you a favor by going with him. I could have let him go alone, and we both know how that would have ended," Indigo explained.
"Or you could have called me, and I could have yelled at the kid," Tony retorted, finally letting out a sigh as he sank into the chair opposite her. He leaned forward, grabbing the bottle of wine from the table and taking a long drink before setting it back down.
"Never thought I'd be in your apartment, drinking at 8 a.m.," Tony mused, his tone laced with a mix of concern and frustration. "You or the kid could have gotten hurt."
Indigo set her glass down on the coffee table with a deliberate clink. "You know I've been in this game my entire life. I'm more than capable of handling a little gang of bank robbers myself."
Tony's expression remained stern. "You weren't by yourself. You had Peter to think about too."
Indigo met Tony's gaze squarely. "You don't give the kid enough credit, Tony. He took down most of them by himself, and neither of us got hurt."
"What's the headache from then?" Tony inquired, his tone tinged with skepticism.
Indigo leaned back, a smirk playing on her lips. "I'm guessing it's a mix of listening to a bitch of a man talk last night, or listening to you talk this morning."
"Yea, yea, listen, Willow. Next time the kid shows up here, asking to go 'fight crime,' how about you say no," Tony insisted firmly. "I can't have either one of you getting hurt."
Indigo sighed, shaking her head slightly. She understood Tony's protective instincts, his desire to shield his family from harm. But she also knew Peter's determination, his unyielding drive to do what he believed was right.
Tony stood up and adjusted his suit, his demeanor serious yet softened by their conversation. He extended a hand to Indigo, she took it and rose from the coach gracefully. Together, they walked towards the door of her apartment, the weight of their agreement settling between them.
