Two Weeks Later...

Indigo looked up from the cozy nest of pillows she'd arranged around herself and Bucky, their haven on the couch for the day. The soft glow of the TV illuminated their faces, casting flickering shadows across the room as they indulged in a Disney movie marathon. Bucky, typically stoic and reserved, was visibly moved by the emotional rollercoaster that was "Up".

"All they wanted was a little baby," Bucky murmured, his voice catching with emotion. "And now she's dead... this movie is horrible."

Indigo sat up, her heart squeezing at the sight of tears glistening in Bucky's eyes. She reached out instinctively, brushing a gentle thumb over his cheek to catch the tear that rolled down.

Indigo whispered, her voice a soothing melody in the quiet of their living room. "Oh, baby, it's okay. This is a happy movie." she said wiping the tear that rolled down his cheek.

"You really like this movie?" Bucky asked, turning to Indigo with a quirked eyebrow, his voice still tinged with emotion from the poignant scenes they had just watched.

Indigo chuckled softly, her eyes sparkling with affection as she gently guided Bucky's head onto her lap, her fingers caressing through his hair, "This is one of my favorite movies."

Bucky shifted comfortably against her, his metal hand finding hers and intertwining their fingers. He watched her with a mixture of amusement and adoration as she fidgeted with his wedding ring, a habit she had whenever they found themselves in quiet moments like this.

"The old man kinda reminds me of you," Indigo teased lightly, her laughter musical and warm. She leaned down to press a soft kiss against his forehead, the gesture filled with tenderness.

"What?" Bucky exaggerated, looking up at Indigo with mock indignation, though his eyes twinkled with amusement.

"You are like over a hundred years old, James," Indigo teased, laughter bubbling up freely. "Plus, you're grumpy."

Bucky feigned offense, sticking out his bottom lip in an exaggerated pout. "But you're my grumpy old man," Indigo added playfully, reaching out to gently stroke his cheek.

His pout dissolved into a grin, unable to keep up the charade for long. "I am," he admitted with a chuckle, his eyes softening as he looked at her. "just like you're my bratty wife."

Indigo couldn't help but gasp dramatically at his response, her eyebrows shooting up in mock indignation. "I am not bratty."

Bucky grinned mischievously, his eyes dancing with amusement as he looked up at her from his comfortable position on the couch. "You literally whined for two hours yesterday because you read all of your books," he teased, the corners of his lips twitching with suppressed laughter.
