4 Weeks Later...

Indigo swirled the deep red wine in her glass, the rich aroma temporarily distracting her from the whirlwind of wedding planning that had consumed her for weeks. Each sip brought a momentary calm before she refilled her glass with practiced efficiency.

The arrival of Nat, Steve, and Sam a week ago had brought both relief and added complexity to her preparations. Natasha's experienced hand in event coordination had been a godsend amidst the chaos. Just a couple of days ago, Pepper and Tony had joined them, and Pepper had seamlessly integrated herself into the operation, easing Indigo's burden with her organizational prowess. That morning, Wanda and Vision arrived, Wanda appearing just as frazzled as Indigo about the wedding.

The inclusion of Wakanda as the venue had been T'Challa's gracious gesture, opening its gates to accommodate their family and friends. Indigo had insisted on it being a sanctuary—a neutral ground where old tensions and conflicts could be set aside for the sake of celebration. She was acutely aware of the lingering rift between Steve and Tony, but her determination to include both in their special day outweighed any reservations.

Indigo sighed softly, the warmth of the wine failing to dispel her longing for Bucky's presence. Steve and Sam had spirited him away to the palace for his bachelor's night, leaving her to navigate the final wedding details without him.

Nat and Pepper both said that her and Bucky needed to spend the night away from each other, which neither Indigo and Bucky liked, but they reluctantly agreed. Now, in the cozy confines of the cottage's living room, the atmosphere was a blend of focused preparation and underlying tension.

Pepper meticulously combed through the guest list, ensuring every name was accounted for with her usual precision. Natasha, meanwhile, put the finishing touches on the seating arrangement, her keen eye for detail evident in every carefully placed name card. Wanda was painting Indigo's nails while Indigo, nestled in a corner, fought to keep her composure as she wrestled with her vows.

"Okay, you must be quite the popular girl because everyone has RSVPed yes," Pepper exclaimed with evident excitement.

Indigo took a big gulp of her wine, managing a faint smile. "That's great."

Her gaze shifted to Natasha, who seemed lost in thought. "Shuri has been looking for him, Nat. I was hoping he would resurface for the wedding," Indigo mentioned softly.

"I was hoping Bruce would come, but I don't know," Nat replied, taking a small sip of her wine.

"I've also tried to get in contact with Thor, but he doesn't exactly have a cell phone I can call," Indigo added with a touch of humor, trying to lighten the mood.
