"I'm starting to feel chubby," Indigo remarked, scrutinizing herself in the mirror as she held up her shirt.
Bucky walked over to her and gently placed a hand on her stomach. "You're pregnant, doll," he said softly.
Indigo met his eyes in the mirror's reflection. "You're supposed to say, 'No doll, you're as sexy as always,'" she teased with a playful smile.
"You're as beautiful as the day I met you," he said with a warm smile.
"The day we met, you were trying to kill me," Indigo replied, rolling her eyes.
"Someone's grumpy," he teased, his tone light and playful.
Indigo chuckled softly, shaking her head as she turned away from the mirror to face Bucky. Despite her playful protest, a smile tugged at the corners of her lips.
"I'm not grumpy," she retorted, her voice tinged with amusement. "Just stating the facts."
Bucky stepped closer, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her gently against him. "Well, facts aside," he murmured, his lips brushing against her ear, "you're still the most beautiful woman I've ever seen."
Indigo tilted her head back slightly, meeting his gaze with a mixture of affection and teasing disbelief. "Smooth talker," she teased, her fingers lightly tracing the lines of his jaw.
Bucky grinned, leaning in to press a soft kiss to her forehead. "Just stating the facts," he echoed, his voice warm with affection.
Indigo placed a hand on her stomach, a smile tugging at her lips. "Your daddy is-"
Bucky swiftly placed a hand over her mouth, his eyes twinkling mischievously. Indigo raised an eyebrow, her expression questioning.
In a sudden move, Bucky dropped to his knees beside her, his ear pressed against her stomach. Indigo watched, amused and touched, as his face lit up with wonder.
"I can hear his heartbeat," he exclaimed, looking up at her with a radiant smile.
"What?" Indigo asked, her voice tinged with surprise.
Bucky placed his ear to her stomach once more, a broad grin spreading across his face. "I can hear the baby's heartbeat," he announced proudly.
Indigo brought a hand up to her mouth, her eyes widening in disbelief. She couldn't believe Bucky's super hearing was picking up their child's heartbeat. The realization washed over her in waves of wonder and joy.
"You really can?" she murmured, her voice filled with awe.
Bucky nodded enthusiastically, his eyes shining with excitement as he looked up at her. "Yeah, it's faint but it's there," he said softly, his hand resting gently on her abdomen.
