As they walked down the hallway, Indigo felt a firm hand on her arm. She looked up to see Steve's serious expression, guiding her into an empty room.
"What's going on, Stevey?" she asked, noting the concern etched on his face.
"You can't go down there, Indigo," he said firmly, his voice tinged with worry.
Indigo crossed her arms defiantly. "I'm going," she stated with unwavering resolve.
"My mind's made up, Steve," Indigo replied firmly, her gaze unwavering as they stood in the empty room.
Steve sighed deeply, his concern etched on his face. "Indigo, this is different. You're carrying a child," he pleaded, his voice tinged with worry.
Indigo's expression resolute. "I know what I'm doing," she asserted, stepping closer to him to emphasize her determination.
Steve shook his head slightly, his worry deepening. "We're facing Thanos, Indigo. This isn't just any fight," he reminded her urgently.
"I'm not asking for your permission, Steve," Indigo replied firmly, her tone leaving no room for argument. "I'm going down there."
Steve ran a hand through his hair, torn between his protective instincts and his respect for Indigo's resolve. "What if something happens?" he pressed, his frustration and concern evident.
Indigo took a breath, her composure unwavering. "I can't let fear dictate my choices," she said calmly yet firmly, her conviction clear. "I have to fight. For everyone."
"Bucky can't live without you, Indigo, and now your baby," Steve said earnestly, his concern palpable.
Indigo regarded him with a steady gaze, sensing there was more weighing on his mind. "What is this really about, Steven?" she asked, her tone gentle yet probing.
The door swung open, and Bucky strode into the room with urgency etched across his face. "We've gotta go," he stated firmly, his voice cutting through the tension in the air.
Indigo glanced at him, her resolve firm as she nodded in acknowledgment. She turned to Steve, giving him a reassuring nod before following Bucky out of the room.
"What was that about?" Bucky asked, casting a concerned glance down at Indigo as they made their way out of the palace, footsteps echoing in the corridor.
"Ask your best friend," Indigo replied tersely, her tone reflecting lingering frustration from her conversation with Steve.
They climbed into the sleek Wakandan ships alongside the rest of the team. Indigo's gaze swept across the interior, noting the determined expressions of the Wakandan guards preparing for battle. Each one stood ready, a testament to their unwavering commitment to defend their homeland against the imminent threat.
