Indigo picked up Alpine from the counter and gently set him down on the floor, making sure he had some space to move around. With a sigh of relief, she unzipped the front of her suit, feeling the constriction loosen slightly.

"Ugh, this thing is feeling tighter by the minute," she muttered, leaning against the counter for support. She glanced up to see Bucky smiling warmly at her.

"You are so beautiful," he said softly, walking over to her. His hands found her waist, pulling her gently into his embrace, and his lips pressed tenderly against her neck.

She let out a frustrated groan, "James, the end of the world is coming here and you're trying to fuck me?"

He pulled back and smiled at her warmly, his eyes reflecting confidence despite the gravity of their situation. "It's not the end of the world, doll. We'll fight this and win, like we always do."

Indigo rolled her eyes, a flicker of concern remained in her expression. She wrapped her arms around his neck, holding onto him as if grounding herself in their shared strength. "I'm going to fight," she affirmed, her voice steady with determination.

He lowered his head to rest against her chest, and she felt his warm breath brushing against her skin, sending a shiver down her spine. The tension of the moment mixed with the intimacy of their closeness, reminding her of the fragile balance between their personal lives and the looming threats they faced together.

Indigo gripped on Bucky's hair, gently but firmly pulling his head up so he met her gaze. His eyes reflected concern and a hint of stubbornness, but she saw the depth of his love and protective instinct behind them.

"Baby, it's too dangerous. I can't let you," he repeated softly, his voice tinged with worry.

Indigo's expression softened, her thumb tracing the line of his jaw as she searched his eyes. "I'm not asking, James," she asserted, her tone gentle yet resolute.

Bucky sighed, torn between his desire to shield her from harm and his understanding of her determination. He knew her strength and resilience, qualities that had drawn him to her in the first place. Yet, the thought of her risking herself weighed heavily on his heart.

"I know you can take care of yourself," he murmured, his voice tinged with a mix of admiration and concern. "But I can't lose you, Indie."

Indigo leaned forward, pressing a soft kiss to his lips before resting her forehead against his. "I won't let anything happen," she promised quietly, her words a vow of reassurance and determination.

Bucky closed his eyes briefly, his forehead resting against hers as he absorbed her words. He knew she meant every word, her unwavering spirit a source of both pride and worry for him. He wrapped his arms around her, holding her close as if to protect her from the dangers lurking outside.
