Amerie officially released her album, The Ballard Of An Autistic Girl in October. The album was a hit, with neurodivergent community, but also neurotypical.
It allowed many people to understand themselves and others too.
But months passed, October turned to November then to December.
The Eras Tour was coming to an end, currently back at their New York apartment, they'd be travelling to Canada a lot, some times staying in hotel rooms.
December was a scary month, Amerie had multiple interviews, vogue photo shoots, they even wanted her to walk runways.
She was labelled an inspiration, but Amerie didn't just want to be an inspiration, she wanted to be someone others could relate too.
With the Grammys coming up, Amerie was terrified if her music would be nominated. She didn't feel like deserved any awards, and she didn't want to steal the spotlight from much better artists, like her Mom or Gracie, but Amerie was equally as talented she just didn't see it yet.
