Angel was the perfect addition to the family, the cats seemed to get on well with him. They could sense he was scared, they made him feel safe, loved and welcomed.
The ragamuffin loved cuddles and attention, he was gaining weight quickly as he was placed on special food to help him restore to a healthy weight.
He was starting to get more confident, but the cat wasn't the only one was beginning to shine.
Amerie was getting ready for her first date with Riley, she was deciding on what to wear, well her Mom holding up options saying how perfect it would look.
"This dress is lovely Amerie, I've always liked floral patterns on you" Taylor said holding up a white dress with blue flowers on.
"That's the one!" Amerie said.
"Perfect, now hair. Half up half down curls with your white bow?" Taylor asked.
"Mhm" Amerie said grabbing the curling wand.
"You know you could just do your natural curls" Taylor chuckled.
"I'd rather not look like a mess" Amerie sighed.
"Amerie your curls are not a mess" Taylor denied.
"Well are you going to help me with my hair or just sit there trying not to cry that I'm going on a date" Amerie chuckled.
"I'm not going to cry, I just don't want my baby growing up" Taylor sighed, but curled Amerie's hair gently.
Taylor moved onto styling Amerie's bangs, she left them in their natural waved state, but styled them to look neater.
"You look gorgeous, now you can't forget lipgloss!" Taylor said handing a pink lipgloss.
Amerie applied the lipgloss and kissed her lips together.
"Stunning" Taylor praised.
The door bell rang, Amerie stood up and grabbed her purse, she quickly placed on her white glossy ballerina flats.
"I'll get it!" Travis said rushing to the door.
Taylor stood next to Travis and greeted Riley who was dressed smart but also casual, he was holding a small bouquet of blue and white flowers.
Amerie walked down clutching her purse in her hands.
"Woah.. you look gorgeous. Erm these are for you" Riley said handing Amerie the flowers.
"Oh thank you" Amerie said accepting the flowers.
"I'll put these in a vase" Taylor said taking the flowers from Amerie.
"Well you two have a nice time" Travis said.
"Bye Mom, bye Dad" Amerie said.. Dad.. Amerie gulped after she realised she said that, it just slipped out.
Amerie quickly walked away to the car and swallowed the lump forming in her throat.
"Did she just call me Dad?" Travis said feeling rather excited.
"Mhm.." Taylor chuckled at Travis' excitement.
"I feel so honoured, she called me Dad. Oh god, she called me Dad" Travis rambled.
"Hey calm down, we will speak to her when she gets back from her date, in the mean time we could have our own little date" Taylor smirked.
"Oh I like your thinking" Travis chuckled.
"Good" Taylor said in a sexy voice

Amerie and Riley sat in a beautiful field, it was the field where Amerie's horse stables were, they was a picnic Riley had set up. It was a collection of Amerie's favourite foods, snacks and drinks, Riley wanted to impress Amerie.
"The pasta is really good" Amerie smiled.
"Thank you, my Mom is Italian so she helped me make it" Riley blushed.
"Well it's delicious" Amerie blushed back.
"Well there is a lot of food in here, there's selections of cheese, crackers. There's fresh lemonade in this bottle." Riley said setting everything out.
"This is really thoughtful" Amerie said.
"I wanted to make sure you had foods you were comfortable with and liked, I asked your Mom and she told me all the foods you like" Riley told.
"That's really sweet, I appreciate all of this" Amerie smiled.
"Is it okay if I kiss you?" Riley asked.
"I would like that very much" Amerie nodded.
Riley leaned in and their lips meet, they stayed in the kiss for atleast a minute.
"You're a great kisser" Riley chuckled
"Why thank you" Amerie blushed.
"Do you maybe want to go on a walk" Riley asked.
"Hm, do you know how to ride a horse" Amerie asked.
"Of course I do" Riley chuckled.
"Why don't we go on the horse trail" Amerie suggested.
"I would love that" Riley said.
Riley packed up the picnic holding the basket all the way to the stables.
"This is Ivory, my horse. This is chestnut, Ivory's brother" Amerie explained.
"They are very beautiful horses" Riley said placing the picnic basket in the corner.
"Indeed" Amerie smiled.
"Oh crap, it's 4PM I'm supposed to be back for 5PM" Riley said.
"You have plenty of time" Amerie said.
"Not if I want to take you back home" Riley said.
"I can take myself" Amerie sighed.
"No let me, so we can spend more time together" Riley insisted.
"Well I guess we better get going" Amerie chuckled.

Amerie was let in by the security, she used her key to open the front door.
"Mom! I'm home" Amerie called out.
"In the lounge!" Taylor responded.
Amerie walked into the lounge to be met with her Mom and Travis sat on the couch.
"Hi" Amerie said.
"How was the date?" Taylor asked.
"Excellent!" Amerie smiled.
"Well me and Travis have something to speak to you about" Taylor said.
"Oh" Amerie said, a million thoughts were going through her head.
"You called Travis, Dad" Taylor said.
"Erm, it slipped out I didn't mean it I'm sorry" Amerie rambled.
"No it's okay, I liked it" Travis smiled.
"Do you want to call him Dad?" Taylor asked.
"I don't know.. Travis you've been like a Dad to me ever since you met Mom, and even before you had to leave for football, you were like a Dad to me." Amerie said.
"So? You want to call me Dad" Travis asked.
"If you're okay with it" Amerie said.
"I'd be honoured" Travis smiled.
"Well then.. Dad" Amerie chuckled.
"Come here" Travis said wrapping Amerie into a hug, Taylor also joining in this hug.
"I love you, Mom and Dad" Amerie smiled.
"We love you too" Taylor and Travis both said.
