Well, I was SIXTEEN when suddenly
I wasn't that little girl you used to see
——————————————————————
16, 16 years of Amerie's life had flashed across Taylor's eyes. Taylor remembered the cute moments of Amerie as a toddler, how she had the most rosiest cheeks and blush pink nose.
Her baby was all grown up, with having her first kiss and turning 16. Taylor felt like she was losing the little girl she wanted to store so badly in a locket. Keep her from growing up any more, but she was already becoming such a mature young woman.
The Rhode Island house was the perfect place to host Amerie's 16th. It had a large garden, a swimming pool and the perfect amount of space.
The garden was beautifully decorated in a large centre piece with navy blue sparkled letters the said Amerie's Sweet 16th. The phrase was written on balloons decorating archways in doors and bunches of balloons that scattered the garden and house. Napkins, plates, pretty much everything you would have at a party was covered with navy blue writing and designs.
A stage directly in front of the centre piece, a stage was important in a party full of music artists, dancers and actors.
Amerie stood in her bedroom admiring her dress, it was navy blue halter top mini dress made from silk, it had a small poof to the bottom of the dress, a rather princess element.
A beautiful diamond Jennifer Behr headband sat on her head, it was almost tiara like.
Her silver Chanel stud earrings sat in her pierced ears, her crystaled Vivienne Westwood necklace hung beautifully around her neck.
Her hair in its natural blonde curls, just more tamed and elegant. Her makeup was light, a pearled light eyeshadow. Pink shimmering lip gloss, perfectly curled eyelashes and a mascara that made her lashes luscious.
Her ivory and crystallised Jimmy Choo heels sat on her feet perfectly, they added some hight to her small figure at 5'0.
She looked like Cinderella, even better than Cinderella, she looked like Amerie Swift.
According to her Mom, Amerie was the most beautiful girl ever.
"Oh my.. look at you. You are just the most beautiful girl I know" Taylor said, she was left speechless at first.
"Thank you, it's not too much right." Amerie asked
"Not at all, I have something for you" Taylor said handing Amerie a familiar box.
"Mom.." Amerie said, feeling shocked.
"I got this charm bracelet when I was 16, now it belongs to you. I always said if I had a daughter, when she turns 16 I would give it to her. And here you are turning 16" Taylor said hugging her daughter.
"Thank you, it's beautiful" Amerie said while her Mom helped to clasp the bracelet shut.
"You're growing up so much, I like your hair like that. Your natural curls, with a headband. It suits you" Taylor said admiring her daughter's beauty.
"Thank you" Amerie said.
"I still can't believe I created you, Amerie I don't think you understand your beauty sometimes. Not just the outside, but the inside. Everything about you is beautiful, from your angelic features, to your voice." Taylor said, Taylor truly believed that she was a gift sent from her Grandma Marjorie, Amerie was that beautiful she looked like an angel, she was an angel.

The back garden was filled with party guests, some celebrities, some family, some family friends, and of course Alice.
"You look gorgeous" Alice said as soon as she saw Amerie.
"Thank you, you too" Amerie said.
Taylor walks on to the stage and holds the navy blue glittered microphone.
"I just want to say happy birthday to my gorgeous daughter Amerie, 16 today. You're growing up into an incredible young woman, but I wish you could never grow up" Taylor said and then came blasting the music to Never Grow Up.
Amerie gave her Mom a sweet smile, when she began to sing. A sweet gesture. The lyrics were changed ever so slightly to fit Amerie, but barely noticeable. It was a magical moment, like most birthdays, but 16 was special.
"Happy birthday baby" Taylor said finishing the song.
Taylor, Sabrina, Gracie, Selena were all stood on stage dancing and singing happy birthday.
"Amerie get up here" Selena shouted out.
Taylor held her hand out to help Amerie up onto the stage.
Sabrina began with her song Expresso, with the girls on stage. They all joined in singing and dancing.
Of course it wasn't just singers who had been invited to the party. People like Ellen Pompeo, Caterina Scorsone, Jessica Capshaw and Blake Lively + Ryan Reynolds were invited with their children.
As Amerie stepped off the stage, she heard the voice of her favourite Grey's Anatomy character, Amelia Shepherd. Standing there was Caterina Scorsone, her Mom had met the Grey's cast a few times, but Amerie had never, well she had met Ellen Pompeo and Jessica Capshaw as they are some of her Moms friends.
"Hi Amerie!" Caterina said.
"Hi" Amerie said shyly.
"Your Mom told me how Amelia is your favourite character, I'm really honoured" Cat spoke softly.
"Your welcome" Amerie said, one thing Amerie would always be was polite, she was raised like that, a polite and good girl.

A video was played on the large screen above the stage, it was a compilation of videos of Amerie.
Pictures and videos from her birth, she was born with golden curls and the bluest eyes possible.
Videos of her trying solid food, taking her first step, her first word, singing, learning guitar and piano. Videos of her doing her Nana's makeup when she was 6.
Many clips and photos of her and her Mom goofing around, singing and dancing everywhere. The two Swifts were really close and had a beautiful mother-daughter bond, one you could say was better than Rory and Lorelei Gilmore, that was a hard one to top.
The video finalised the end of her party, but also showed her growing up. It received awhs and chuckles from the crowd.
She was finally 16.
