37. The boat

We were in Hawaii for 3 days already and it was so nice, my brother and Lando hired a boat so we are going out on the boat today and I was excited. I loved being on the water. I got all my things together and I walk to the living area where Lando is sitting. "Do you have a towel?" I ask him and he nods not looking up from his phone, showing me the towel, I rolled my eyes and walk to take it to put it in my bag. "What is so important on your phone?" I ask standing in front of him folding my arms. He look up and smile, he then pull me on to his lap and kiss me. "Do you want attention baby?" he ask kissing my neck and I giggle. "From you always" I say kissing him back. Just before the kiss can get too heated my phone rang. "My brother" I say "Hola Carlos" "Si, we are coming" I say rolling my eyes.

I stand up and Lando groan. I giggle and pull him up, "Come my impatient brother is waiting for us." I say and we walk to the lobby where they are waiting. "Finally, what took you so long?" Carlos ask and I roll my eyes. "Come on then we are here now." I say walking out the doors. We took a car to the docks and the boat they hired was not as fancy like the one I went on with Mick but it was still nice, we met the crew and they showed us around the boat. Soon we set off in the open waters. I and Rebecca was lying around on the deck chairs just talking and having a great time. We sat down for lunch and they informed us that we will be at the spot we are snorkelling in an hour. I was excited, I have only snorkelled once in my life.

"So you look well rested." Rebecca say to me and I smiled, "I am thank you for inviting us on this holiday, I really needed it." I say and she nods. "Of course" I smiled and look at Lando and my brother, they really do get along well for someone who has an age gap. "So are you coming with us to China?" I ask her and she shake her head. "No, I have a few photoshoots I need to do." she say and I nod. "I just really hope I don't have to do two teams at the same time again." I say and she nod. We ate the lunch and then they told us we are here and we walked down to put up our scuba gear, "I am so excited" I say jumping up and down and Lando laugh, kissing my head. We snorkelled the rest of the day and I took a lot of pictures with my underwater camera.

When we were sailing back we just sat and watched the sun set and I was so happy. "Isa, did dad talked to you about your studies?" Carlos ask out of the blue and I frown, "What about it?" I ask and I see him looking at Rebecca and then at me. "No, he will tell you then." he say and I shake my head. "No, tell me." I say and he sigh and looked at me. "He is going to talk to the FIA and tell them you can do the job next year again, you need to focus on your studies." he say and my mouth hang open in disbelieve. "What?" I shout and I feel Lando rubbing my back. Carlos just nods. "That is why he agreed for me to go on this trip, I cannot believe him and you!" I shout standing up and Carlos looks at me surprise. "Why me?" Carlos ask and I look at him disgusted, shaking my head.

"I am so sick and tired of dad always interfering with my life, you knew about this and you kept quiet, I have known I would never have come, and now I have to give up my job!" I shout pacing up and down. They all just look at me and I ran my hands through my hair. "I need to get off this boat." I say walking to the crew to ask how much longer before we are there. I sat on the couch ready to leave as soon as we dock, already on my phone to catch the first flight to Spain. Lando came and sat with me. "Are you okay?" he ask and I nod booking my flight. "What are you doing?" he ask and I look at him frowning. "Booking a flight to Spain, I need to stop my dad from ruining my life" I say and he nods biting his lip. "Can I come with?" he ask and I look surprise. "You want to come with me?" I ask and he nods.

"Of course baby, I told you I will follow you to hell." he say and I smile. "Well it is going to be hell" I say and he laugh and I hug him. We docked and I got off the boat, the car ride to the hotel was awkward, "Isa, I tried talking dad out of it." Carlos say and I glare at him. "Sure you did, why would you care you are already living your dream." I say and he shake his head. "You are being unfair" he say and I glare at him. "Whatever Carlos" I say and we stop and I got out, I turn around looking at my brother. "I am leaving tomorrow morning to Spain, I am going to see if I can talk to papa." I say and he nods. "Good luck" he say and I roll my eyes walking to the elevator, I see Lando still talking to them and I just went up to my room. I decided to phone my dad.

"Hola Mi nova" he answered and I roll my eyes. "Carlos told me" I say and it was quiet, "Isa, I am sorry but you can't do both, and at the moment your studies is more important." he say and I sit down, rubbing my face. "No, it's not, I am flying to Spain tomorrow, I am coming to see you." I say and he sigh. "Isa I already made my mind up, no need for you to ruin your holiday, enjoy the rest and when you get back to Monaco you can focus on your studies." he say and I laugh in disbelieve. "I can't believe you, I am a grown women I can make my own decisions." I say and he is silent. I see Lando come in. "Isabella I already made up my mind and I already send a mail to the FIA so it's already done." he say and I start crying. "I hate you right now." I say. "I know you will get over it and then you will thank Me." he say and I end the call throwing the phone next to me on the couch.

I sat with my head in my hands and I started sobbing. "No baby, don't cry." Lando say sitting with me and pull me in his arms. I cried for a bit and then I looked at him. "He already told the FIA that I will not be coming back, he did it he ruined my life." I say and Lando kisses my head. "It's okay, we will go to Spain tomorrow and you can talk to your dad and then you can contact the FIA yourself." he say and I just nod. "Or I can just quiet my studies and work for the FIA permanently" I say and Lando looks at me shock shaking his head. "I don't want to sound like your dad baby, but your studies is important and you have worked hard to just give up now." he say and I nod standing up. "I knew none of you will understand, you already got to live your dream." I say walking to the room and locked myself into the bathroom.
