61. You need to step up

I walked to the paddock, my parents came to talk to me yesterday, my father was still disappointed, but he was going to support me. My mother cried because she is going to be a grandmother and I just laugh. Today was race day and I walked to the Ferrari garage, happy that I am not showing yet so I can still hide it. I walk in and I smiled at my parents. I walked to them and I hugged them, then my brother. "Ready for today?" I ask him and he nods. "Yeah, but I hope Charles win as this is his home race." he say and I nod. "Come let's go get something to eat." my mother say and we walked to hospitality. I and my parents had something to eat and when we walked back I see Carlos and Lando and I can see they are fighting. "You need to fucking step up man, she cannot do this alone." Carlos say to Lando as we approach. Lando looks at me and then back at my brother. "How are you so sure it's mine?" he ask my brother and I was scared my brother is going to punch him. My brother grabs him by his collar and I was holding my breath.

"Because I know my sister she is not a fucking whore, so get your act together." my brother say releasing Lando and he shake his head. "Enough" my father say before Lando can say anything and he shake his head biting his lip, he walk till he was next to me and then he looked at me. "can we talk?" he ask I look at my parents and then my brother and I nod walking with him to the McLaren garage, I see Magui standing in the garage and her smile drop when she sees me, she walk to Lando and he put his hand up. "Not now" he say to her, turning to me and taking my hand pulling me to his driver's room. I can see Magui look confuse and angry. I step in and he closes the door. I stood there with my hand folded and he finally look at me. "So you told your family" he say and I nod. "I did" I say and he leans against the door. "How are you?" he ask and I frown. "Good" I say and he looks me up and down. "Look, I am sorry I ignored you, but can we maybe meet somewhere later to talk more?" he ask and I look down biting my lip.

"About what, want to tell me again that the baby is not yours, did you tell Magui that you are going to be a dad?" I ask and he shake his head. "No, I want to talk about us, about the baby." he say and I raise my eyebrows in surprise. "So you believe it's yours now?" I ask and he looks down. "I believed it from the moment you told me Bella." he say and my mouth was hanging open from shock. "I was just in shock." he say and I frown. "Okay I get that, but you are with Magui again." I say and he looks up. "You left me Bella, so don't judge me." he say and I sigh walking to the door, and he looks at me confuse. "No Lando, I wanted some time apart, you left me now move please because I do not have the energy to fight with you." I say and he stayed where he was. "No, first tell me you will meet me somewhere, or we can meet at your apartment." he say and I sigh looking at his beautiful eyes. "Fine, meet me at my apartment." I say and he smile and then let me walk out.

"Are you okay?" my brother ask the moment I stepped into the garage and I smile. "Yeah thanks for defending me" I say and he hugs me. "Always little sis." he say and I laugh, We watched the race and I was happy after the race because my brother got P3 and Charles has won his home race, we walked to watch the Podium celebrations and I was really happy for my brother being up there again. I was tired so I left soon after, not waiting for my parents because I know how long media can take, Lando did not do well, and he was in P4 well it's not that bad. I walked into my apartment and I sat on the sofa, I answered my messages from Drew, Mick and Lola. They knew I am pregnant, because I tell them everything, well not Drew that much but he knows. I must have fallen asleep on the sofa because I woke up from a knock on my door. I yawn and walked to the door, I open it to Lando and he frown.

"Did I wake you?" he ask walking in and I smile. "Yeah but its fine, I am always tired these days." I say and he nods. "Want something to drink?" I ask him and he nods walking with me to the kitchen. I took water and I gave him one as well. We went to sit on the sofa and he sat next to me this time, I turn so that I can look at him and I could not help but admire him, he really was such a beautiful man. "So, I want to know how you want to do this." he say and I look at him confuse. "Do what?" I ask and he also turn to look at me. "Us raising our child." he say and I was shocked that he talked about the baby as his. "I don't know, you are the one in a relationship, you tell me." I say and he smile. "We were not dating Bella, and she is gone now, I told her about the baby and she got mad and left." he say and I was happy I am not going to lie. Still can understand how he can get over what we had in two weeks.

"I don't know Lando, we can start by you coming with me to the doctor?" I say and he smile. "That would be great then I can also hear the heart beat." he say and I smile. "I also haven't heard it yet." I say and he frown. "But you went for a check-up?" he ask and I nod. "It was too early apparently a heartbeat can only be heard after 6 weeks." I say and he nods. "So you believe that I did not cheat?" I ask and he frown looking down. "I never believed you cheated, but it is hard when you read about it and then you think maybe it has to be true." he say and I just nod not saying anything. "Are you ready for this, because a baby is hard work and your whole life is about to change, mine as well?" I say looking at him and he nods, "I think I am" he say and I bite my lip. "If you are in our child's life just remember you cannot walk out, a child will always have to come first." I say and he nods again. "I know Bella" he say and I smile.

"So what does that mean for us?" he ask and I frown looking at him. "I don't understand." I say playing with the ring on my finger and he moves closer taking my hands. "I still love you Bella, and I want my child to grow up in a home with a mom and dad just like we did." he say and I look at him, I was choosing my words careful because I did not want to piss him off. "Let me ask you this, if I wasn't pregnant would you have even contacted me again, because you seemed very cosy with Magui." I say and I can see he looks ashamed.
