11. A mistake

She looks at me confuse and then I say. "I know" and she looks shocked. "With you" I say again and I can see she was not going to tell me that. "What?" She ask and I just look at her. "Where did you hear that, Bella he is not cheating with me I would never do that to you." She say and I laugh again and then I got angry. "Really Lola and who is Nate almost fucking in this picture?" I ask and show her the photo she went white as a sheet and then she looks up. "Bella I am-" before she can finish I shake my head and stands up. "No, Lola who where you going to blame? Who was the girl you were going to tell me about huh?" I ask folding my arms looking at her. "Bella I am really sorry okay, it just happen." "For how long?" I ask her and I can see she is scared. "Almost 2 month's now." she say looking at her hands. I ran my hands through my hair and shake my head.

"I am such an idiot, it all makes sense now, you always standing up for him." I say looking at her and she doesn't look at me. "Bella he ended it this morning I promise he said he wanted to fix things with you." she say looking at me again. "And you are here to throw him under the bus because he didn't choose you?" I ask her angry and she looks down again. "You know what Lola, just leave we are not friends anymore, you can have Nate I don't care, and I am done with you both." I say opening the door for her to leave. She walks out the door and then turns around. "It was a mistake Bella." she say and I just close the door. I started crying and just sat there on the floor. I decided to text Nate.

Me: Are you coming over tonight? We need to talk?

Nate: Yes, I will bring dinner and we can watch a movie?

I did not reply, I just sat on the sofa thinking about what I will do, I basically did the same to him but at least not for 2 month and not with his best friend. But do I have a right to be mad? I thought and there was a knock at my door. I open for Nate and he kisses my cheek walking to the kitchen with the dinner. "How was your day?" he ask and I smile a bit. "Okay and yours?" I ask, "Great, you are back in Monaco so I was happy the whole day." he say and I just nod. We sat down and had dinner I did not talk much. "So you said you wanted to talk?" Nate say while eating and I nod. "I know about you and Lola" I say and I waited for him to react. "What about us?" he ask and I could not belief him. I stood up and walk to the kitchen not being hungry. "I know you cheated on me with Lola, Nate." I say looking at him at the table and he frowns. "I did not cheat with Lola, who told you that Lola? Bell she is lying" he say also standing up.

I shake my head walking to get my phone. "Lola did not tell me, she wanted to throw you under the bus yes but she was going to make up a girl and then I got these photos." I say showing him the pictures. He look at them and then he went white as a sheet. "Bella I was drunk and I missed you it was just a one night thing." he say walking closer. I was getting angry why he is lying. "Stop lying Nate, it's been going on for 2 month now." I say sitting on the sofa. He came and sat on the table in front of me. "Bell, I ended it this morning I promise it was a mistake." he say and I look up tears in my eyes. "That is why you did not phone or text me the whole time I was away and that is why I wake up every morning without you." I say and he looks down nodding. "I can't belief I was so fucking stupid, always going to go see your family right Nate?" I ask again and he looks up and try to take my hand. "Bell she meant nothing to me, it meant nothing." he say and I pull my hands away standing up needing to put distance between us.

"I think you should leave" I tell him and he looks at me and shake his head. "No, I want to sort this out I don't want to lose you." he say and I look down. "You already lost me Nate." I say looking at him tears streaming down my face. "Bell, please I love you" he say and I just shake my head opening the door for him. He walks out and I say. "You did not love me enough Nate." I say and he turns around "Yeah well, you would be crawling back to me." he say and he left. I closed my door and I just sat there on the floor in front of my door crying my eyes out, I just lost my boyfriend and best friend the same day and I needed to talk to someone. I stood up and went to the bathroom to clean my face and then went to fetch my phone. I sat on the sofa contemplating who to text because my brother is so far and my parents. I decided to text Lando, I know not my best idea.

Me: Hey, how are you?

He text back immediately and I smile

Lando: Hey, good and you?

Me: I am okay thanks, what you up to?

Lando: Just chilling at home and you?

Me: Me too, can we maybe meet somewhere to talk maybe your house?

Lando: Sure, I will be waiting can't wait to see you.

I smile at his last message and then see he send me the pin location and I took my purse and went to get a taxi. I got in the taxi and told him the address and I look out the window, thinking I made a mistake, why did I text Lando? Why does it feel like he is the only one I can talk to? I got to his apartment and took a deep breath before knocking and he opens up with a big smile. "Hey, good to see you Bella" he say hugging me and I hug him back. We walk to the kitchen and he offered me coffee which I took and then we went to sit on the sofa, his house was nice. "I like your place." I say sipping my coffee. "Thanks" he say and we were quiet again. "Bella what is bothering you?" he ask and I finally look up at him and a tear roll down my cheek. "Hey come here" Lando say putting down his coffee and pull me onto his lap, I started sobbing again laying on his lap, Lando just rubbed my back.

After a while I was done crying and Lando say. "Please talk to me Bella?" he say and I look at him. "Nate cheated on me." I say rubbing my eyes. "What?" Lando ask in disbelieve, I just nod and got my phone showing him the pictures. "Isn't that you friend Lily?" he ask and I nod. "Lola, yeah apparently I am so naïve they have been fooling around my back for 2 months now." I say taking my coffee again. "Did you tell them you know?" he ask and I nod. "Yeah apparently he broke it off with Lola this morning but she had other plans she was going to come tell me but she was going to leave out the part that it was her." I say looking at my hands. "And what does he say?" Lando ask and I look at him again, I shake my head. "First he tried denying it then he got angry and told me I would be crawling back to him." "Fucking asshole" Lando say and I just nod.

We sat in silence for a bit and then I said "I can't really be mad at them you know, I was also cheating." I say and Lando look at me and shake his head, "No, they betrayed you Bella the two people in the world you trusted the most betrayed you." he say taking my hand and I just nod. He was right, but I still felt guilty. "I think I am going to go." I say standing up and he grabs my hand. "Please stay" he say and I look at him and then the door, what should I do?
