A small butterfly appeared from the small ball of water that I had in front of me, and I couldn't help but breathe a small sigh of relief when it appeared.

"Oh, thank Goddess," I said, my voice barely above a whisper, earning a small chuckle from my aunt. I moved my hand a little to the left, and the butterfly followed the path that I had created when I moved my hand.

"That is amazing, Kyler," Giselle said with a small chuckle in her voice, and I breathed a small sigh of relief while I slowly nodded. She cleared her throat and shifted in her seat, growing serious. "Do you think you can create a fire butterfly with your other hand?" she asked and raised an eyebrow in question.

I hesitated before I slowly nodded and licked my lips. "I think so," I said while I moved my hand to the right, and that butterfly followed that path as well. "Are you sure?"

"Yes," she said and nodded. She cleared her throat and shifted in her seat while she looked at the butterfly before she looked at me, cocking her head to the side. "Please? For me?"

I bit the inside of my lip before I slowly nodded. I didn't say a word and held out my right hand, and the water butterfly landed on that hand. I took a deep breath and released it with a small whoosh before I held out my left hand and created a fire butterfly on it.

"That is amazing, Ky," the woman who wanted to be my aunt praised me, and my heart grew warm when she said that, and I looked at her and smiled. She cleared her throat and shifted in her seat. "Now, are you able to start making them dance together?" she asked and raised an eyebrow in question.

I bit the inside of my lip tighter before I slowly nodded, turning my attention back to the butterflies. I didn't say a word while I silently asked them to dance, and the butterflies lifted from my hands and started to dance.

I moved my hands from one side to the other, and both butterflies followed each of my hands while "Aunt" Giselle watched them with bright wide eyes, and a look of amazement filled my "aunt's" eyes while she watched me and the butterflies.

However, that all stopped when there was a small groan coming from Caroline's bed, and I twisted around and looked at her with my concentration breaking, and both butterflies disappeared with the water falling all over the table and onto the floor, even though neither one of us were concerned about it.

Caroline groaned again and started to shift, and I instantly got up from the table and moved over to her with Giselle following me. She furrowed her brows but didn't try to open her eyes, and I couldn't help but press my lips into a thin line, becoming very nervous.

"Caroline?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper, and she stirred some more, but she didn't try to open her eyes a second time. I hesitated before I placed my hand on her shoulder, and she grew tense before she slowly started to relax as if she knew it was me. "Are you awake?"

Caroline groaned and slowly nodded, furrowing her brows. She didn't open her eyes again, and I couldn't help but wonder if she was having problems opening her eyes.

"Does it feel like you have gunk in your eyes?" I asked and raised an eyebrow in question, and she nodded in confirmation. I sighed and nodded, pressing my lips into a thin line. "Ok," I said before I looked at Giselle, who already had a cloth ready in her hands. "Thank you."

Giselle bit back a small smile and slowly nodded. She handed it to me before she took a step back, and I breathed a small sigh of relief while I turned my attention back to Caroline. "Of course," she said softly and placed her hands behind her back while she watched us with a blank look on her face.

I moved a cloth across her eyes, and she breathed a small sigh of relief and slowly started to relax some more. I bit back a small chuckle while I tucked my head closer to my chest. "Do you think you can open your eyes now?" I asked and raised an eyebrow in question.

Caroline hesitated before she slowly nodded. She opened her eyes and looked around before she looked at me with wide eyes filled with pain and fear.

"Hey, you are ok," I soothed while I moved a hand through her blonde hair, and she closed her eyes and leaned her head against my hand just a bit. "You are safe."

Caroline opened her eyes again and looked at me. She didn't say a word while she did so, and I couldn't help but chuckle a little.

"Do you need me to help you sit up?" I asked, and she nodded. "Do you also need some water?"

Again, she nodded.

"Ok, Giselle will get you some water while I help you sit up. All right?"

She nodded and looked over my shoulder to see Giselle there before she looked at me with wide eyes, silently asking me why she was in the tent with us.

"She wanted me to show her my powers," I said while I shrugged and grimaced. I helped her sit up, and she bit back a small groan while she did so. "And she wanted to talk a bit."

Caroline furrowed her brows and cocked her head. She didn't say a word while Giselle walked over to us with a cup of water in her hand, and she watched her with wide eyes while Giselle did so.

Giselle smiled and tucked her head closer to her chest, submitting every so slightly while she didn't look the other female in the eyes. "Here you go, Caroline," she said and handed the cup to me, and I handed it to her.

Caroline took the water from me and started to drink from it. Her hand shook ever so slightly while she drank the water, and I watched her to make sure she didn't spill anything or need any help.

She pulled the cup of water away from her mouth before she cleared her throat and shifted in her bed, looking between the two of us with a small frown on her face. "What happened?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper before she looked at me. "Where are we?"

"We're still in your tent," I said with a small chuckle in my voice while I sat down beside her. "You started to think about something and then started to choke. I gave you a piece of the gum, and that helped you breathe normally again."

Caroline hesitated before she slowly nodded. She took another sip of water while she furrowed her brows and cocked her head while she stared at me. "The gum helped stop it?" she asked, and I nodded in confirmation. "How?"

"Because I think you were put under a spell," I said, "and the gum knocked the spell off." I furrowed my brows and pressed my lips into a thin line before I cocked my head and studied her. "Do you think that whatever happened to you had put a spell on you?"

Caroline shrugged and grimaced. "I don't know," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. She cleared her throat and shifted in her bed, yawning. "However, I think that I should probably get some better sleep than that..."

I bit back a small chuckle while I slowly nodded, biting back a small yawn because I couldn't help but feel exhausted, as well. "I do, too," I said, "especially since I now know that you are alive and well."

Giselle chuckled and nodded. "Then I will take that as my cue to leave," she said. "Good night, you two, and sleep well." She looked at me and offered me a tight smile. "Remember what I told you, Kyler Rose," she said with a small hum in her voice. "You are family, and you are allowed to call me "Aunt Giselle" whenever you are comfortable. Ok?"

I bit back a small smile and slowly nodded, breathing a small sigh of relief. "Ok, thank you, Aunt Giselle."

And with that, Giselle left, leaving both Caroline and I sitting there together in silence.

Thank Goddess...
