Fernos excused himself before we could finish this discussion as soon as I told him that it would have changed our lives forever, and I couldn't help but scoff and roll my eyes, my heart breaking.
"Dumb ass," I muttered before I moved a hand through my hair and shook my head. I bit back another sigh before I grabbed my pouch from where I had left it. "Why doesn't he believe me?" I asked, pressing my lips into a thin line.
I wonder if I can call the box to me from inside of the pouch, I thought while I pressed my lips into a thinner line. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath before I let it out with a small whoosh.
I thought about the box and placed my hand into the pouch, praying that I would be able to grab the box, but unfortunately, nothing came out when I pulled my hand out of the pouch.
Damn, I thought, my heart breaking a little while I pursed my lips in annoyance. Why did that not work?
Because it is of different magic... a random thought appeared in my mind. It will not work that way...
"Then I hope I get it soon," I grumbled before I sighed and stood, deciding that I wanted to check on Caroline before I went to bed so that I could get some sleep, even though I had no idea how much sleep I could get with Caroline passed out beside me.
I walked over to Caroline and cocked my head, listening to her breathe and bit back a small sigh of relief when I saw that she was relaxed and sleeping.
Thank Goddess...
I bit back a small sigh and shook my head before I looked at the cot where the rest of the food laid forgotten. I pressed my lips into a thin line and shook my head before I walked over to the cot to get everything taken care of and then go to bed.
Please, let me get some sleep, I silently prayed to the Moon Goddess, pressing my lips into a thin line and closing my eyes halfway while I tucked my head closer to my chest. Please. I know that I am going to need it, especially since this might be the last time I will be able to...
I bit back a small sigh and moved a hand across my face before I shook my head and pursed my lips in annoyance. "Damn," I muttered and looked at my watch, biting back a small snort when I saw that it had only been a few hours since I had "left" when it had been longer than that here.
"Oh, please, keep everyone safe until I return," I muttered under my breath before I did what I needed to do with the food, covering it up and putting it onto the table before I made my way back to the cot.
I sat down with a small groan before I pulled my boots off and then laid down, curling myself into a small ball and closing my eyes. "Damn," I said, my voice barely above a whisper before I turned into a different direction and stretched out when sleep didn't come as quickly as I would have liked. "Damn, damn, damn."
I bit back a small groan and turned the other way before I opened my eyes and sat up, not knowing what to do but knowing that I wouldn't be able to fall asleep for some reason.
Maybe I could practice some fire, I thought while I pressed my lips into a thin line. I bit back a small sigh before I moved a hand through my hair and across my face, shaking my head. Or I could practice controlling some water so that I would be able to help Caroline control hers.
But practicing controlling fire was easier...
I bit back a small sigh and shook my head before I flicked my wrist and a small ball of fire appeared in front of me. I looked at the ball of fire and poked it with a finger on my other hand, and the ball of fire grew smaller until it was a flame. "Oh, Goddess," I said with a small sigh and looked at the small fire above my finger. "Why can't water be as easy as this?"
