The day was finally here.

The day Celeste spent hours thinking about and wondering of all the possible outcomes. The moment arrived where the girls would spend the day with Saint. Celeste mentioned to Sanai that they were having a fun day, but she failed to confirm all the participants to the child.

Currently, Sanai sat on her bed still in her colorful pajamas, as Celeste searched through the closet. She wanted to find something casual and comfortable.

Nai enjoyed dressing up, but the weather said otherwise. Celeste constantly checked the weather app on her phone, but it insisted that the gloomy atmosphere was just cloudy weather. There was no indication of rain in the forecast.

"You like this, Nai?" Celeste questioned, while holding the outfit by the hanger.

It was a simple matching jogger set. It was black, so Celeste wouldn't have to worry about her ruining her outfit.

Nai shook her head no, "I want to wear a dress." Sanai replied to her mother. This resulted in Celeste throwing her head back in annoyance.

"You can't wear a dress, Nai. It's breezy and I think it's gonna rain."

Nai wasn't pleased with the information, "B-but, I want to wear it."

One of the things you learn as a parent is to pick your battles wisely. Celeste could make her daughter wear the matching set, then deal with the attitude. Or she could let Sanai wear a dress– and let her deal with the weather consequences.

Celeste went through the clothes searching for the dress she just brought. It wasn't anything special, but it would do the job.

"Are you excited for today?" Celeste asked as she pulled Sanai's braids into a slick bun and laid the gel on her edges.

Saint texted Celeste a few days ago offering to take them to a glow in the dark golfing place. Celeste figured he wanted a place that was dark, so he wouldn't get noticed.

She didn't mind and actually thought the idea was good. It was something Sanai's never done before and the bright lights should keep her interested.

Sanai nodded her head eagerly, "Mhm, can we get pizza after?" Celeste promised Nai that she would buy her a box of pizza if she acted well behaved.

Celeste wore a simple outfit– jeans and a tee were her go to. She quickly ran the flat irons through her natural hair, she had recently done a big chop. Celeste wasn't one to hang onto length and preferred health and quality. She also believed hair held history, both good and bad, so she needed a fresh start.

She actually preferred shorter hair, because it was easier to maintain, and she could achieve a flatter install. Celeste was still grinding hard towards raising the money for her hair salon and eventually getting her cosmetology certification.
