Celeste's body followed her typical morning schedule

Celeste's body followed her typical morning schedule. She was the only person awake at seven in the morning despite the amount of labor her body endured yesterday. She quietly shuffled around the room to avoid waking Saint. She showered and prepared herself for their final day in New York.

Saint wanted to spend more time here, but Celeste couldn't stretch her schedule. She had already missed an entire weekend at work and Sanai couldn't afford to miss any more days of school. They already had a large homework packet to complete during the flight home tonight.

She grabbed a few dollars from her waller before sticking the loose money inside her pocket. Celeste lightly shut the door before using the keycard to lock it. She had no plans of leaving the luxurious hotel, but she instead sat at an available table of the attached restaurant.

The waiter came to get Celeste's beverage of choice. She replied, "I'll have a cup of green tea with lemon."

While she waited patiently for the drink to return, she called her best friend. Celeste didn't know if she would answer considering Kennedy probably worked last night. After the third ring the call connected, "Do you know it's seven in the morning?"

Celeste replied stressed, "Sorry, there's so much that happened yesterday. I couldn't wait until we flew back in."

"Please don't make me catch the next flight out, cause I will." Kennedy expressed before Celeste explained the day in full detail.

She continued speaking without stopping for a break. Celeste kept her tone low, not wanting the entire morning crowd to overhear her dilemma.

She paused as the waiter set the tea on the table, "Can I get you anything else? Have you had a chance to review the menu?"

Celeste quickly flipped to the pastry selection of the menu. She wasn't too up for a heavy full course breakfast, "Um, do you have any croissants prepared?"

"Of course, I'll be back shortly."

After their conversation concluded, Kennedy stated, "Salem is weird, but luckily you don't have to ever say another word to him. No offense, but I don't understand the anger directed to Saint."

Celeste reflected on her reply, "I was mad and everyone caught a bit of it. I wasn't specifically mad at him, but that is his brother."

"And that's true, but don't take it all out on Saint. From what you're telling me, he's trying his best. I wouldn't let his fucked up in the head ass brother interrupt my happiness. I can tell you enjoy being around Saint and I'm not ready to see that end over something out of his control,"

Kennedy continued, "It sounds like he stuck up for you too. Don't punish Saint for his brother's loose screws."

Celeste wasn't close minded, so she listened to Kennedy as she gave her advice on the situation. When in doubt, you do as your best friend says, because they wouldn't steer you in the wrong direction intentionally.
