It was officially Christmas day. The sound of joy and excitement could be heard throughout the town as children all over opened their presents from Santa. The jiggle bells were loud and clear. The Polar Express was on repeat nation wide. Hot chocolate was in demand, and the reindeers were enjoying their day off.

The low temperature was definitely a change from the sunny, warm Costa Rica weather. Though the adjustment was distinct, Saint was happy to be back home. His family vacation was everything plus more, but home was a feeling no place could overachieve.

The drive back was filled with Sanai asking, "How far are we?" She was eager to open her gifts from everyone. She was getting a plethora of gifts this year. She had both Celeste and Saint's side of the family that offered her presents. You couldn't forget about Santa too of course.

Celeste repeated her same answer, "We're almost there Sanai."

At the first chance she saw home, she was ready to jump out the car. It was fascinating how much holidays meant to you as a child, but the feeling just disappeared one year. Now all you have is the precious nostalgia and memories.

Saint loved how much Nai enjoyed Christmas, because that was his favorite holiday. It was something so pure and enchanting about this day. Maybe it was the idea of Santa, he was an icon globally. Saint loved baking Santa cookies and pouring his glass of milk.

Could it have been his upbringing, where the three children received every item on their list in the Taylor household? There was probably hundreds of other reasons he loved this holiday.

All over town, it seemed to be a good day.

Every year Saint and his family donated money to organizations to ensure every child had at least a single present. Everyone was worthy of peeling the wrapping paper and unleashing a break from reality. Gratitude was key.

The family arrived to Saint's home. They left their luggage in the car, since the five year old couldn't wait any longer. Sanai was already opening the garage door that led to the living room. Inside was a massive tree that nearly touched the ceiling. It could be seen through the open floor plan.

"All these are mine?" Sanai asked once she saw the amount of presents under the tree.

Saint had Summer come over and remove the gifts from his hiding spot and place them under the tree. He wanted his daughter to get the full effect.

Celeste smiled, "They're all yours. You can start opening them if you want."

Sanai took a step back from the tree and glanced at all the gifts, "Wow!"

Soon after, she started to open each present. Like every father, Saint walked around with a trash bag picking up all the torn paper. Celeste sat on the couch like a proud mother admiring the work and money she spent.

"I want to build it now!" Sanai exclaimed as she unwrapped the new lego set Saint bought. It was a polaroid camera set that actually dispensed a photo.
