A drawn out, slow two months had passed. In fact, things did change. The April month carried along flowers beginning to bloom and trees regrowing their leaves. The world was adapting and changing effortlessly.

Celeste was now just a foreseeable month away from earning her certification. Sanai had only one more week left of kindergarten, before she was officially done for the summer. She was a master at spelling her name and memorizing her sight words.

The suite was nearly complete and fully furnished. Usually Saint was there every step of the way to ensure contractors were installing things correctly, but that was Celeste's responsibility now.

The extreme amounts of help she once had vanished. Without Saint, she felt lost. She didn't realize how much help he was until she no longer had it. She went back to relying on her father full time.

A part of Celeste felt bad for doing this. Just like she became accustomed to having Saint take care of Sanai, Pawpaw was accustomed to this too. His schedule was different, but now it was reforming again.

The contact with Kennedy slowed down. There wasn't any animosity or conflict between them. Their lives were taking flight in opposite directions. Kennedy was focused on her career and fresh romantic life. Last month was the very first they missed their monthly catch up. Neither of them addressed the topic either.

Celeste was determined to become a business owner and continue providing for her child. A great friendship was one where you didn't speak everyday, but you understood that would change nothing. They both would have each other's back.

Celeste's body awakened itself. It was the usual time for Sanai to began getting dressed for school. Instead of having to walk to her room, Celeste just tapped the body beside her, The first few weeks of Saint being gone triggered a lot of anxiety for Sanai. The only way she felt secure was being in her mother's presence 24/7.

"Wake up, sleepy head." Celeste said softly, as Sanai removed the crust from her eyes.

Sanai asked her normal question, "Is daddy coming home today?"

There hasn't been a single day where she forgot to ask this question. She had hopes of the response being answered in a positive manner, but she hadn't gotten her dream answer yet.

They both walked through the house towards Sanai's personal bathroom. Celeste searched for another way to say no, "He'll be back soon, but not today. We can call him after school if you want."

Sanai placed the toothpaste onto the princess themed toothbrush, "I really miss him."

The sound of her voice made Celeste feel a saddened mood. She hated that there was absolutely nothing she could do to soothe her daughter's heart.

Her only response was, "I miss him too."

The statement held much more value than she let off. Celeste hadn't been felt his skin against hers in months. She couldn't feel his locs dangle in her face. There wasn't someone constantly pulling at her waist to come closer. Not hearing his actual voice in her ear was painful enough. Her body craved Saint, but it would have to continue craving for a while longer.
