"Put your head through Sanai, carefully so you don't ruin your hair." Celeste said while helping her put the hoodie over her head.

It was Thanksgiving Day– the day of giving thanks for the things you're grateful for. People often waited until today to give thanks, but you should do it every chance you get. Celeste was a victim of forgetting to acknowledge her benefits and essentials in life.

Sanai asked, "Did I mess it up?" Celeste looked around Sanai's head ensuring her hair wasn't ruined. Cel replied, "I don't think so, it looks fine."

Once Sanai was fully dressed, Celeste put a thin layer of vaseline on her face. She complimented her daughter, "Such a pretty girl." Sanai cheesed as she left the room.

They entered Saint's room as he was spraying cologne onto his body. Celeste spoke to him, "You look nice." She fixed the collar of his button down shirt.

Saint replied, "That's it? Just nice?" Celeste laughed and stood on her tippy toes to reach his ear, "I'd show you how good you look, but you have places to be."

Saint lowered his eyes at her and wrapped his arm around her waist. He replied quietly, "Say the word and I'll take all this shit off."

"Nope." She said, ensuring to emphasize the p sound. She moved away from him and went downstairs to start cleaning and preparing dinner.

As she prepped all the ingredients, she saw Saint and Sanai almost ready to leave. Saint was taking them to his parent's house for a few until Celeste finished cooking dinner here.

Celeste didn't mind him taking Sanai over there, Saint was well aware of her irritability and uncertainties of certain family members. She knew she could rely on Sunny if needed as well.

"Aight, we out." Saint said before the garage door shut.

Celeste connected her phone to the surround system and let her music play as she continued to prepare the meal. Her menu was simple, she hated cooking meals for other people that didn't regularly eat her food.

Although it was only her father and Kennedy, she wanted everything to be perfect. They both deserved perfection.

Celeste was currently basting the turkey, so the skin could be crispy and have flavor. The house was quickly becoming hot, so she cracked a window before tending to the food. The aroma from the kitchen smelt heavenly and delightful.

After nearly two hours, she was finally pulling the last item from the oven. The freshly baked dinner rolls were being buttered and set on a dish. Celeste carefully placed all the food items onto the kitchen counters to ensure everyone had a great view of all the options available for dinner.

She wasn't in the mood for tons of baking, so she only baked a sweet potato pie. It was a classic that every dinner celebration needed. She made sure the pie crust was a perfect shade of golden brown.
