Celeste double checked the luggages to ensure she had everything needed for this weekend. She mentally had a checklist that she was checking twice and constantly adding to. Celeste was the type of person to overthink her packing necessities.
Once she finished digging through her luggage, she did the same to Sanai's. She made sure she had an appropriate amount of outfits and proper hair care items. As she finally zipped the bag, the sound of her doorbell rang out.
Celeste stood from the floor before wiping her pants off. She was dressed in a simple, but cute lounge outfit. She wore a sweatshirt and pair of flared leggings underneath. She glided across the floor in her socks as she approached the door.
As it opened, there stood Saint as he awaited the presence of Celeste. He instantly invaded her personal space bubble and swiftly pulled her body into his. His arm hung low on her back, "Y'all ready?" He asked while dropping his face into her neck. He would never learn to control his touch when it came to her.
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure everything is packed." Celeste said while struggling to remain standing on her tippy toes.
Saint yawned tiredly, "We gotta leave, the flight is set for nine." As he pulled away, she took note of his tired eyes.
"You look tired." Celeste said as he followed closely behind her. His reply was, "I am tired as fuck. My phone didn't stop ringing last night. My manager keeps calling to make sure shit sweet with Liana and it ain't."
"Don't let that bother you, Saint. Tonight is huge and you only have to fake a smile for a few hours." Celeste tried to reason with him, but he was dead set on hating his co-star.
Celeste wasn't too fond of her considering she aired the families business out on social media, but you live and reset. Spilling hatred everywhere you walk doesn't heal a broken soul. Saint and Liana shouldn't have faked a relationship for publicity in the first place.
Sanai noticed her father and dropped her ipad beside her, "You're coming with us?" When he agreed, the energy from her body escaped. She stood from her chair and waited for Saint to pick her up. Sanai kissed Saint as he smiled through the affectionate moment.
A father truly was a girl's first love, or in some cases their first heart break.
"Okay, come on!" Sanai said eagerly. Celeste did a final walk through of the house before they left. Saint placed the luggages in the trunk as she strapped Sanai into the seat.
No conversation was had as they drove to the airport. She just enjoyed watching the sunrise as the morning evolved. The radio played music at a calming volume– it wasn't too loud or quiet. The heat warmed Celeste's body from top to bottom. She started to regret not wearing an actual shoe, her birkenstocks weren't the most insulated.
Upon arriving at the airport, Saint drove to his hangar. Celeste didn't know what she expected, but it wasn't for him to have his own jet and private hangar on the airport's land. She didn't want to even imagine how much he spent yearly on bills and maintenance.
