It was officially the week before Celeste's 31st birthday. She was excited, birthdays always held a soft spot in her heart. In her opinion, every year was better than the last. This was the one day that everyone celebrated you, why spend it depressed or not living in the moment? Even better, people around the world were celebrating with her, as she shared a birthday with the day of love!

Today, Celeste and Kennedy decided to live up to their promise to Celeste's father. The girls decided it was time to officially resign from dancing forever. They had been contemplating on the perfect time and it had arrived today. Both of them secured other career opportunities, so there was no better time than now. Onyx was only a stepping stone of their lives.

Both her and Kennedy were currently sitting in the parking lot as they reflected on their decision. It was definitely bittersweet leaving the place that accepted them when nobody else did. They called this place their job for years. Onyx carried them through their financial struggles and allowed them financial freedom. It would hold respect in their eyes until the end of time.

This was the place that funded a roof over Sanai's head, the place Celeste found her very best friend, the place where she met Saint twice, and the place that welcomed her when the world was so cruel.

Kennedy signed her signature on the handwritten letter, "Are we really about to quit stripping for good?" The statement spoke volumes about the girls growth and development.

Celeste lifted her pen from the page, "I think we are. If someone would've told me years ago this would be happening, I would've disagreed so bad."

"No literally. Onyx is our home, but it's time the originals sign their goodbyes." Kennedy replied.

"We really held onto our promise. Onyx did us well, but all good things must come to an end eventually."

Celeste and Kennedy both opened the car doors and shut them on the same accord. Kennedy held the front door opened as Celeste walked through. It was weird, her chest was pounding as if she was about to get in trouble. Nervousness was a painful feeling.

They walked through the building towards Benji's office door. They passed by some girls practicing for tonight and the bartender cleansing the area and machinery. This was normal, but it didn't seem as such today.

The girls stopped right at his door before Celeste lifted her hand to knock. The sounds barely made an impact, making Kennedy knock on the door harder. Celeste forgot how thick and sound proof his office door was.

Benji's voice was heard from the other side, "Come in."

At the sight of his best dancers, Benji smiled happily. Celeste always loved his makeup capabilities. You would never catch Benji without a full glam makeup look, it was admirable.

Small talk wasn't had. Kennedy placed her paper on the platform, before Celeste followed. Their papers were placed directly in the center.

His long acrylics clashed against the wooden desk. He picked the papers up, "What's this?" He questioned, but everyone in the room knew those were resignation letters. Benji just wanted to verbally hear them say it aloud.
