HEY HEY HEY
Cassidy began to stir awake feeling a shiver travel down her spine. She reached over half asleep, searching for the warmth of a certain blonde however all she could feel was the cold sheets beside her.
The brunette's brows furrowed as she rubbed her eyes to adjust to the light. A small frown made it's way onto her lips as she sat up. Taylor was no where to be found.
After a yawn and stretch Cassidy slid out from under the covers. She took a quick detour to the bathroom, brushing her teeth with a toothbrush Taylor gave her the first night she ever stayed over.
The singer hadn't thrown it out just in case she'd ever need it again and Cassidy was grateful for that.
As Cassidy made her way to the main rooms of the house, the delicious aroma of breakfast hit her nose. She pulled her lower lip between her teeth.
It brought her back to the morning after she dropped that stupid weight on her foot and got injured. Taylor took care of her and made her pancakes.
It was a simple gesture but it meant the world to the brunette. Ever since they'd met, Taylor had truly always been there for her, even when she didn't necessarily deserve it.
Cassidy peaked around the wall of the kitchen watching Taylor in her element as she poured some more mixture in the pan. For some reason watching the singer do something she enjoyed warmed Cassidy's heart.
But what really made her smile was that Taylor was humming as she cooked. The familiar sound of the song they'd drafted last night filled Cassidy's ears as the singer mumbled the words.
The brunette almost didn't want to make her presence known so she could continue to watch on, until she realised she'd already been spotted. Not by Taylor, but by a very annoyed looking Scottish Fold from across the kitchen.
Meredith looked like she was plotting Cassidy's demise the longer she stood there, so she decided to enter the room properly. Not without seizing the opportunity to scare the shit out of Taylor though.
Cassidy snuck forward whilst the blonde's back was facing her. She had to hold her breath and bite her tongue to prevent herself from laughing and ruining it.
"Boo!" Cassidy squealed, holding up her hands much like a monster.
She wiggled her fingers back and forth as she flashed all of her teeth. Unfortunately, Taylor had been mid-flip when she decided to scare her.
As the blonde screamed and collapsed to the floor in shock, her pancake filled spatula launched the dessert backwards sending it soaring into Cassidy's face.
Well that backfired.
The brunette slowly wiped the half-raw pancake batter off of her face sparing a glance at Taylor who sat gaping up at her, shock written all over her face.
However her expression quickly changed to one of amusement as Cassidy attempted to get the mix out of her right eye. Taylor folded her lips inwards, hiding the laugh with her hand that was so desperate to come out.
She couldn't hold it any longer once the brunette began to attempt to lick the batter off of the tip of her nose. She was failing miserably. They both burst into laughter.
"You bitch! You scared the shit out of me, Cassidy," Taylor exclaimed through her own fit of giggles.
She held her stomach with one of her hands trying to catch back the breath that was so rudely scared out of her. Meanwhile Cassidy squinted her eyes open in search of the sink, laughter making it hard for her to function properly.
