Marrying the last boss was not in my life plan.

At the threat I could only stare at the demon lord in disbelief.

After finally getting used to the poison, I decided it was time to start training. I grabbed my sword and began my Kagura dance, the familiar movements grounding me.
As I practiced, Kagaya opened the room door and entered. "You shouldn't be moving. The poison will spread through your blood circulation," he said.
I slashed at some plants, losing my balance momentarily. "I have to live with this poison constantly, so I can't help it," I replied, my breath steadied and my heart calmed.

"Did you know that Kagura was originally performed in shrines in gratitude for the harvest?" I asked. Kagaya nodded. "I do."
I performed another step, accidentally cutting off another door as my power fluctuated. He didn't mind at all.
"But you know, in reality, it is performed to welcome the gods," I continued, practicing my sword movements. "It is a dance that purifies the land and its people. Different dances has different stories."
I stopped to drink some water, and Kagaya asked, "Why don't you dance for me?" I chuckled, amused. "I like your audacity for asking." He smiled. "I've been constantly reminded."
I felt a pang of sadness, remembering how I cursed a child of my own in sheer upset of losing my mother's gift.
I grabbed my dual swords and described the Kagura dance. "You can't see. Are you sure you want me to?" Kagaya chuckled, shaking his head. "That's not the reason I asked you to."
I stared at him, confused. He continued, "You've always danced for gods. Have you ever danced for Kibutsuji Muzan?"
I realized where he was getting at and smirked. "You're my favorite child now." I grabbed my sword and promised him, "I will show you the best dance."
I didn't have the Kagura suzu with me, so I improvised by taking the bells from the bell chime hanging nearby and tying them around my sword.
My hands were a bit shaky as I did so, and I could feel the anxiety bubbling up inside me.
"It won't have the full effects since I don't have the proper equipment, but..." I trailed off, trying to reassure myself as I began the dance.
"If I did, I believe neither you nor I would survive," I added, my voice tinged with nervousness. As he couldn't see, I narrated the story to him.
"This is the most divine story... in all of Kagura dances," I said, ringing the bell once as I began to dance, narrating the tale. "The Goddess of the Sun, Amaterasu Omikami, who was angry and scared at the violence of her younger brother, Susano no Mikoto, hid away in a cave called Iwato."
"The world became dark, and gods indulged in evil deeds. To lure her back out of the cave, another Goddess, Ama no Uzume no Mikoto, performed a dance in front of the cave." The bells on the blade rang out, their sound sharp and clear as they echoed around me.
