Miyuki's POV

"Tengen, I need to buy something from the town. Can I go?" I asked, and he replied with a casual, "Yeah, sure."

"Me too." Tanjirou joined me, putting on his shirt.

The trainees whined in protest, but Uzui shut them down. "What, you think you can do what they did?" he challenged, and they quickly shook their heads, silencing their complaints.

Me and Tanjiro were doing well, so we headed to meet Tomioka at a restaurant. As soon as I saw him, I ran up and hugged his neck, standing on my tiptoes. "Giyuu~~~ I missed you."

He just hummed in response, his usual stoic self.

We all sat down, and soon the competition began. Tanjirou, determined to win, was already on his eighth tray. "Hey, Mister! Another tray, please!" he called out.

I sweatdropped, watching him. "Will... will you be alright?" I asked, still working on my second bowl.

"Of course," Tanjirou huffed, clearly pushing himself to his limits. He was determined to fulfill his promise to Kagaya and make Tomioka cooperate.

"Can I get another?" Tomioka asked the chef, much to Tanjirou's shock. He was already at his limit, but Tomioka seemed unfazed.

"Huh?! Wha..."

"You say that I have to take part in the training if I lose this match...?" Tomioka asked, coolly. "Huh? Th-That's..." Tanjirou stammered, growing nervous.

The chef brought two more trays of soba. I nudged Tomioka playfully. "Don't be so negative. The reason me, Tanjirou, and Nezuko are alive here is because of you."

Tomioka looked at his soba, contemplating my words. "Mister... bring him one more for him," he said, nodding towards Tanjirou. "This will be my last."

"If I finish this tray, you'll join Hashira Training?" Tanjirou confirmed, eyes wide with determination.

Tomioka nodded. "Yes, that would make me happy."

Tanjirou began eating his last portion, struggling but refusing to give up. I watched anxiously, cheering him on silently. He was pushing himself to the limit, and we all knew it.

Finally, Tanjirou finished his last tray and collapsed onto the table, utterly exhausted. I sweatdropped nervously.

"You're training with Tengen, right? Tomioka asked as we walked toward the mountain.

I nodded. "Yeah,"

"I'll take him there." Tomioka picked up the unconscious Tanjirou and slung him over his shoulder. We walked in comfortable silence for a bit until he broke it. "How's the training?"

"It's easy, honestly. Urokodaki-san's training was more harsh," I replied, chuckling softly. Seeing Tomioka smile made me blush, and I couldn't resist clinging to his hand.

He looked at me, confused. "Why the sudden affection?"

"You should smile more," I said playfully. "You'll kill the girls with that smile of yours."

Tomioka tilted his head, even more confused. "They'll die if I smile?"

I burst out laughing. "No, no, Giyuu. I meant it figuratively."

He still looked puzzled, and I chuckled again. "Didn't expect you to be a student of Urokodaki-san too." Tomioka smiled slightly. "Do you know why he wears a mask all the time?" he asked.

"I partly saw his face. Is he insecure?" I inquired.

Tomioka shook his head, still carrying Tanjirou effortlessly. "Once during a demon hunt, a demon teased him because he has a gentle face."
