Miyuki's POV
We jogged towards the mountain, with Inosuke struggling to understand human's niceties. As evening fell, we finally arrived at the base of Mt. Natagumo.
"Hold up! Would you mind waiting a second?" Zenitsu gasped, looking like he was about to keel over. "Zenitsu? What's wrong?" Tanjirou asked, concerned.
I tried to pull away from Zenitsu, who was gripping my arm tightly. "Oi, you brat, I'm already dying, let me go," I grumbled, trying to free myself.
He shook his head, looking terrified. "I'm scared, all right?! Now that we're nearing our destination, I'm so scared!"
"Why the hell is he sitting? How creepy is that?" Inosuke sneered at him. "Don't tell me you're not getting any vibes from that mountain!" Zenitsu pointed at the dark, foreboding peak.
Tanjiro and Inosuke turned to the mountain, but they sensed nothing unusual. I, however, felt a chill run down my spine. "Still, what good will it do to just sit there?" I said, exasperated.
"I told you, he's creepy," Inosuke muttered. "I am not in any way creepy! I'm normal! I'm the normal one! You guys are abnormal!" Zenitsu snapped at us.
I finally managed to pull him back onto his feet. "Come on, Zenitsu. We need to move."
Suddenly, Tanjiro's expression changed. "I sense something," he said, and took off running.
The rest of us followed closely behind. "Come on! Don't leave me here by myself! Don't leave me!" Zenitsu wailed, scrambling to keep up.
As we got closer to the mountain, we saw a wounded Demon Slayer lying on the ground. "He's got our uniform on. Something must've happened!" Tanjirou exclaimed.
I knelt beside him, trying to see if he was okay. "Hey, are you all right?" I asked, but before he could answer, a series of strings attached to his back pulled him into the air and away from us.
"We have to save him!" Tanjirou shouted, running ahead. "I'll go on ahead. You can follow me, shivering," Inosuke declared, charging forward.
"Come on, Zenitsu!" I urged, pulling him along. "We can't let them go alone."
Zenitsu whimpered shaking his head. "This place gives me the creeps... Why did it have to be a creepy mountain?" I huffed swatting his hands away and ran behind the others.
"The scent of blood is strong here. We need to be careful." Tanjirou led the way, his sense of smell guiding him.
"Good! Let's find these demons and take them down!" Inosuke grinned, ready for a fight. In the forest, we I run up a trail when Inosuke suddenly stops. "Geh!!" Spider webs appear on Inosuke's hands.
"Huh? What the hell is this?" he asked, shaking his hands furiously. "A spider web?" Tanjirou said, inspecting it closely.
Inosuke shook his hands even harder, trying to get rid of the web. "Jeez, this place is full of spider webs! What a pain!" I scanned the area, noticing more webs strewn across the trees.
"Thanks Inosuke," Tanjirou called out to Inosuke, who looked back at him. "You said you'd come with me, and I felt encouraged," Tanjirou said sincerely.
Inosuke looked confused, unused to such sentiments.
"That twisted, ominous scent I was picking up from the mountain... It made me freeze a little. Thanks," Tanjirou added, making Inosuke blush slightly from the unexpected gratitude.
In the distance, we saw a Demon Slayer crawling on the ground, clearly terrified. "There's someone there," I pointed out. "Let's go." We approached the living Demon Slayer cautiously.
